  1. I may of mixed the fuel this evening at 50/1 Did already have half a tank in that was mixed at 28/1 but I think she may of got a little hot
  2. Hmm I did wonder about the clutch last time I used it. It did seem to be creeping a tad by itself with no throttle on. I hate running in freshly cut grass I knew I should of gone straight home from the woods I'll have a look at the clutch first.
  3. Evening all - I know this will of been covered a few times before but much easier if one of you petrol guru's can give me a diagnosis in my own thread. Took the 5ive out for a run this evening, not been out for a few months. All going well for 20 mins or so, not too much throttle just tootling around no WOT. Moved location onto a grass field, opened it up and gave it full beans, had a few rips up and down flat out then game over She spluttered, then eventually came to a stop. Let it cool down for 5 minutes or so, went to start it and the pull cord did feel funny. After 3-4 failed attempts to start the pull cord locked up, All the symptoms of a seized engine dare I say it? I'll pull it out the car tomorrow and have a look but if any of you chaps have seized them before I'm sure you can shed some light. Thanks Nick.
  4. Handballed this great thing out of the loft, changed a few of the shot panels for a few 'less shot' panels Took it to the woods for it's first run in a few months and think i've blown it up, In all a great success
  5. Will come with 2x Overlander 2200mah 45c 2s lipo's.
  6. More chance of Jesus Moonwalking down the mall than getting them back, it sucks, but as mentioned lesson learned the hard way. Makes you realise that big boys toys will always be gold in the eyes of thieves! keep them safe and out of sight .
  7. Not that expensive to buy new. This ESC https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/264725/?gclid=CPKBurPz9tQCFWMz0wodzCANig And any of the LC buggy/truggy motor will do. I know craig runs a tenshock in his micro - damn quick too. http://www.tenshock.com/products/rc-model-car-power-system-brushless-motor/1-14-car-brushless-motor/1-14-4-pole-9-slot-brushless-sensor-2838motor-for-lc-emb-1h-buggy-ts-x1401.html This is the ESC in my LC truggy, plenty of room on the chassis in both the LC and Losi to fit it.
  8. And to think they will most likely get sold for peanuts with the thieving scum not having a Scooby doo how too even turn them on
  9. Too Nice to bash and now I have the Savage xs for that duty I can't see myself getting much chance to race this on carpet through summer, I can always get another for winter It's the LC truggy however I have fited the Phat bodies LWB buggy shell, modfied the side guards to secure the shell and removed the front truggy posts. Has the Hobbywing 60a ESC fitted, NO radio/receiver. I have also modifed the top brace with the integrated aerial tube. VGC, had one run on carpet and a few in my mothers garden/once or twice up and down my road on 10th TC wheels. Will come in the original box with manual £180 posted
  10. Dug the Mugen out of the loft going to bring it out of retirement for some 8th nitro action. Stripped it down to renew diff oils, it's in such good condition for a 10+ year old buggy. No signs of wear on anything, I don't want to ruin it but it seems a waste not to put some use on it!! I've even dug some retro yellow spoked wheels out with proline holeshot's just for extra modern-retroness So it went from this.... Mugen 6 by Nicholas Simpson, on Flickr To this
  11. I'm a little miffed, I chucked the old battery out at work the other week as I thought it was dead. I've just tried it with a 2s lipo this afternoon to make sure it works and totally forgot there is a little switch on the side too turn it on/off. Chances are the battery was probably OK
  12. Changed some diff oils in the SCT, Received an astro setup over the weekend so going to give it a try on mine. Mistakenly went for 5k centre when I built it now running 7K f - 10K c - 3K r Have to wait until next weekend to see how it compares though Need to pick up a 16t pinion too as the temps were well within the safe zone with the 15t in
  13. It's not cheating it's just common sense if it's in good condition and saving you XXX ammounts of ££ in modding a standard one to this spec anyway.
  14. You'll be putting that new dremel to use then shaving some of the pins off
  15. Ready for some astro bashing @Pistonhead !?
  16. I've bought one of the powerhd 20kg jobbies from China. I have a genuine one in my tekno sc so we'll see how a fake one holds up in the savage. Can't see it Being a problem unless the quality is really poor.
  17. probably, but i dare say a cheapo 12v lead acid battery will be cheaper than a 3s lipo? I don't know really. It had a lead acid battery to start with but it's not been used in about 4 years so it's dead as a dodo!
  18. I know they aren't expensive to buy new but does anyone have a spare battery kicking about for my SMD starter box? I'm on a low budget to get my nitro buggy up and running so any saving is a help!!! Thanks.
  19. OK mate. Well if you have anything else of interest drop me a message
  20. To top an awesome weekend off full of RC, few wheelies with the savage
  21. Any old spares you have kicking about? Ideally like some CVD shafts but any sort of drive line spare such as dif cups, axles please.
  22. Well I need a nice servo for my savage xs? Something relatively torquey !
  23. Seen little use in my Mini 8ight super strong servo - perfect for a mini 8ight, doesn't fit in my EMB hence sale! £20 posted.
  24. NDOR yesterday, East Coast Nitro today, all RC'd out this weekend Cracking day yet again, this truck is a beast !! @capri-boy - I lost the mudflaps, the glue gave up! Luckily found them so will bolt them on now
