  5. I am just waiting for a chap on tamiya forum to get back to me regarding a both a 959 and a grb I just cant resist lol, ive had both before tbh, the 959 was nib and i could not bring my self to paint it?? Really regret flogging that now, i also had a nib body set that i paid close to 300 for lol?? Insane really. Ive had a nice grb celica to that i bought off ebay, was already built and painted but was mint, again regret selling that too. The mrs looked at my bruiser progress last night, axles and chassis done, she said is that all youve got done?? I said yes love, its not like building my losi 8 etc, get it done asap, i like to savour a tamiya build she replied, ohh ok, whatever, lol.
  6. Awesome fella, judging by your largescales im sure you will do it justice I cant get to mine untill tomorrow chrimbo eve, be nice to get the chassis done on christmas eve. Im on the lookout now for a 959, a celica grb and a avante im tempted by the tundra too, ill try resist though untill the bruiser is done.
  7. Yes mate, full metal sheilded bearings.
  8. Yes nito, the dx4s has a 3 position switch so should be silky smooth bob on gear changes every time I started the build today haha, chassis rails are done, axles are done, the diffs are weird lol, 6 gears inside the diff housing. Ive taken my time, just to make sure everything is just right, tamiya manuals are great, im loving the build so far, making me feel all christmasy
  9. No mate, im using a spektrum dx4s steering wheel trigger type transmitter, so gears will be shifted using the aux switches.
  10. Cheers for the nice comments everyone, im hoping to make a start on it tomorrow, after shoping that is busy time of year as im sure you all know. Have two tins of ts-15 put to one side at the local model shop, i need grab a couple of servos, and a new sr410 speky receiver as im running it off my dx4s
  11. Yes mate, thats bog standard km "diff" oil, looks and smells like auto gearbox oil for 1:1 cars, thats how new this km is pal, ive never changed it as its only been used a hand full of times, nice to see you cracking on with it or kraken on with it lol (sorry lol) Ohh you should have looked in the spares mate, theres some cup boots in there pal

  13. Well as in the tittle, im starting a tamiya collection again, had a ride the eve to the local model shop, could not resist this now im starting collecting again, it will be a runner but only for special occasions, pretty good start i rekon, always wanted one as a kid, even had the poster on my wall this is not a build thread as such but progress will be shown, every time i buy a new tamiya, i will add it here, may take a while as i like them to be perfect.

  15. Id love a pajero body on this chassis, im sure a little link tinkering could sort that i was seriously considering buying a tam mountain rider as a christmas prezzie to me mmmmm think ive just found my next build instead.
  16. Yeah im not sure bud, im not to well up on my cc01 chassis lol I do love a nice looking jero though Plus axial has the jeep area well and truely covered, id sooner have a rubbicon kit tbh
  17. Drive shafts will defo be a issue, g2 and tf2 both need replacing instantly if you want to run it more than 5mins Pitty no body is included though or id be very intrested, im sure these cc01 bodies quite hard to come by, wonder if the pajero also fits?? It should do
  18. i wonder what the future holds for quadcopters? with all the neg press lately, so much fun, just had my blade 350 out for night fly, damm its agile compared to my twister

With the above comment of rifles in mind, i can see some sort of licence comming in soon for flying these things.

Dji already has pre-programed quads that avoid any obvious no fly zones such as airports etc, that is the way forward imo, anybody can still buy a air riffle in a gun shop without a licence, you only need a licence for fac power riffles and shot guns, you only have to be over 16yrs age to buy a riffle, the techonolgy is there already and should on all new quads.

^^^^^Air rifles are only permitted on a range or with a permission. But then whats the point, with max power at 12fp they are glorified pop guns.

  19. Ahh im missing it already it was nice dealing with you to buddy, i hope you enjoy it pal, its a cracking truck, i put alot of time and cash lol into that, im sure you will do it justice pal.
  20. Yeah mate, uber front bumpers are good swag it braces your chassis to
  21. Whoops at least its getting driven properly hope your shocks arnt bent pal, plastics are cheap, shocks arnt lol a ubber bumper wouldnt go a miss like the rear tyres on front as well
  22. I got mine from rc pitstop in burscough near southport, his website shows out of stock but give him a ring, hes a nice helpfull chap and should be able to give you restock times
  23. Just take it easy for the first tank, no more than half throttle, let everything bed in nicely
