  1. Thanks again peoples. : ) deans it is then.
  2. As title says, im getting a 3s for my firestorm, but from what ive heard bullets can handle a bit more current, ive always used deans , but ive always ran 2s only , dont really want to ruin a new pack. Any advice.
  3. Ezrun pretty good, also turnigy trackster combos seem to be pretty reliable and good on temps. But these can go for less than your budget, so maybe spend all your budget on it and get something more tastier.
  4. The link doesnt work, you say you may upgrade to a compressor, so I guess your going to be using a can of compressed air, these are not ideal as the pressure will change throughout the can, and theres not really enough pressure in them, . If your budget allows it I would get a compressor straight away. As for the airbrush, you want a dual action model so you can control airflow and paint. And as for paint the viscosity will differ between brands but you roughly want to thin it down to the consistency of milk.

  6. Should of been given a saturday delivery option
  7. I ordered a lipo thursday evening, about 8pm I opted for the 24 hr express, obviously I know it wont arrive on the friday as I ordered to late on the thursday, was hoping for saturday delivery , just read on their website that they only deliver on saturdays if you choose that option, there was no option for sat delivery. I paid extra for 24 hr express as it is I shouldnt have to pay more on top of that, there system should of let me know this, so now I wont get my parcel until monday, thats four days, bet I wont get a refund either. @#$/ holes. Next time I will be ordering thursday morning.
  8. Firestorm and carnage both very good, not broke a thing on either of them, but did find even with a 2s my 10t wasnt really that fast, so I converted it to brushless, now she moves : ). Would recommend both rc, s.
  9. My firestorm has taken a lot of abuse in the short time ive had it and nothing has broken, not even a thread come loose , and thats all stock, great little cars, but inevertably your always gonna want bigger and faster , I would go with a 1/8 , the trophy truggy is good , quick enough but does have a tendency to break easy, ive had to pay for countless parts due to breaks , but I keep coming back to it, love it. A truggy is a good balance for bashing and track. Your money at the end of the day, just let us know what you go for.
  10. Bottom line, no one wants there gear nicked, but take pics of everything for proof and claim under house contents insurance.
  11. Turnigy trackstars combos are pretty good and nicely priced and from the UK. Ebay shop rcstockroom2012.
  12. Dont see many of these about, are they any good, ? Was thinking of getting one , and quite a lot cheaper from overseas. Any opinions from people that know? Cheers
  13. All details are at hpiracing .co.uk
  14. there is a thread of my workings in the general rc section titled my 1st paint job
  15. Thanks people, cheers purcy, I have been a spraypainter for many years so quite custom to spraying and masking this may have helped my cause lol have to say though rattle cans arent great I will definetly get my airbrush out next time, cans do spit a lot and there pressure drops the emptier the can gets, still pleased with it though.
  16. Just a quick pic of my first paint job, there is a thread of my workings in the general rc section.
  17. Thought I would give my trophy truggy a complete face lift, I went for a proline bulldog 2012 shell, sweet looking body. I cut and trimmed the shell before paint as I didnt want to attack it with knives and scissors after paint, I finished off the edges with a dremmel for a smoother finish. Next , added the window masks, and used a 3mm fineline masking tape from ( jammydog.com) to give me a dividing line between colours, most of the masking in the pic is on the outside of the shell and was used as guides and markings to help keep everything neat and even on both sides, ive purposely overlapped the masking as this will give you a natural point, then just cut away the excess to leave an even line and sharp point. I then cut away all excess and removed guide line masking, I added the headlight decals to the inside of the shell, im not a fan of headlight stickers I think they look a bit meh, I will remove these last thing and just simply leave them clear. The stars have also been added , these are decal masks and not stickers from ( rcgraphics ) these will also be removed after the base coats have gone on, then sprayed alternate colours. Then I masked off the back half of body which will be the lighter end, the overspray film had started to come away slightly so a few masking patch ups were needed. Then sprayed the front half of shell in the darker colour, removed all the green masking ( frog tape ) I used this because its low tack and I didnt want the dividing line lifting up when I removed it.next I sprayed the back half in the lighter colour, then sprayed the whole shell in bright silver to make everything pop nicely and removed window decals. Next up, I removed the front star decal masks and sprayed then also backed these in silver, then removed the back stars , sprayed , and backed with silver, finally finished off the entire shell in black including the windows which will be a solid black rather than a tint, and finally removed headlight decals. Painting finished, decals added, and topped off with proline badlands , a new moulded rear wing , some shocksocks and metallic purple body pins with pro pulls although these havent been fitted yet. All materials and parts was quite expensive but well worth it, a couple of minor overspray marks but it was my first go at spraying a shell, all in all very pleased with the finish. it is actually metallic purple tamiya ps18 but does look blueish in some pics. thanks for reading : )
