  1. Hi Mate, what exactly are you trying to get? pwm output to drive servos i assume? if so you want one of these https://hobbyking.com/en_us/signal-converter-module-sbus-ppm-pwm-s2pw.html?___store=en_us more info on what your trying to achieve will be needed to answer in more detail. thanks
  2. Yea pretty much. No parts support means when you crash then it’s a paperweight. I know the servos it uses are rather expensive and quite hard to find already. I’m hoping they make a disco 2 but given my inav wing has so far cost me £100 all in....
  3. I haven’t flown one but have to say I really fancied one. Then I heard they had been discontinued so lost interest. I started building my own based on an s800 skyshdow airframe and an inav flight controller.... /edit Not to mention they are seriously expensive compared to the home brew solutions
  4. for your budget your really going to struggle for the features your looking for. so your going to have to compromise somewhere. you might be able to find a second hand walkera runner 250 within that budget but if im honest there not exactly what i would describe as good. i think you need to consider what you can live without and what you actually want to use it for. if its just for some flying about without fpv or photography then grab yourself a hubsan x4 micro or similar, maybe an e010 (tho neither of those have gps). like most things it boils down to what your usage is will define what you want and therefor the price. regarding building, i think that term is over used when it comes to quads mostly its just soldering some cables together and a few screws.
  5. Ok. Just flying around... with gps etc if your looking for an rtf then this might tick the boxes http://www.hubsan.com/eur/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9
  6. What do you want to use it for? £150 is a very tight budget to work with
  7. Which f3? There are rather a lot of them... how come you didn’t go to f4 or f7?
  8. which FC are you going for on this?
  9. Name:Dave Dell R710 motherboard 2x intel Xeon 2.5 8core cpus 32gb of eec ram Nvidia gtx 1050 gpu Non branded raid card 3petabite of of raid 10 storage 1tb of ssd storage (It’s really good to repurpose old server hardware) And yes it’s In an optiplex box from 1999 [emoji4] /edit forgot the ram

    Abarth 500?

I got given one as a hire car for a day. I found it to be an ok drive but the cheep interior really let it down.
  11. I’m with mr tiny whoop (Jessie) stock inductrix F.C. with a cockroach frame and some special sauce motors. What I would say is the betaflight boards running project mockingbird tune work pretty well too.
  12. What do you want to fit fpv too exactly? Getting picture to a phone with air based stuff the lag is too high to be useable. But there are a number of cheep goggles available. In essence you need a fpv cam £20+ Vtx (can be had for as little as £10 if you hunt around) Antennas (menace pagodas are cheep and good) An all in one box goggle £40-50 depending where you go for it and what features it has... Back to you
  13. Depending on the number of batteries £100-130
  14. The qx7 is a great radio but the gimbals are awful! So if you decide to get one order the Hall effect gimbals at the same time. If you want to run crossfire then you will need to do a hardware hack to the transmitter for it to work properly (something the x9d doesn’t need). Open tx has a steep learning curve and isn’t what I would call plug and play. But once you get your head round it it’s exceptional! /edit Just another thought. If your a pinched the x9d is more comfortable in the hand than the 7 which feels better for thumbers
  15. No. They are really really old! Do not buy! A uart is. A serial interface used for connecting stuff (like a gps) Inversion . Some uarts don’t care if they get an inverted or uninverted signal. I would seriously look at the matek f405 flight controller. It’s not expensive and is brilliant Here’s a link https://www.quadcopters.co.uk/matek-f405-osd-f4-betaflight-flight-controller
  16. All vtx’s bleed to a lesser or greater extent. It’s part of the reason we use raceband now so there’s a greater separation between the Drew’s everyone uses.
  17. if flying with others then you really should have a mix of left and right, so person 1 uses left person 2 uses right etc. the polarization means you get less issues with bleed. the tbs antennas are so good because there near perfect circle polarization. the axii is also amazing
  18. I find the quality of the antenna makes a huge difference. A good antenna set on lower power will be as good as a rubbish set on high power
  19. Looking good mate! Be careful outputting 200mw tho it’s a tad above the legal limit here
  20. That’s what i would do. In fact I’m using the matek f405aio (recently discontinued and replaced with a f405ctr) in my wing. He reason to go with an f7 over an f4 is more uarts and they don’t care about inversion. Keep us posted on your build
  21. I I would be looking at either an f4 board or an f7 board. F4 is better optimised right now but f7 is better in a lot of ways. As to gps navigation your gonna be looking for a board with a barometer and an external gps unit. Software wise your looking at inav Hope that helps
  22. Naza stuff is horrible to work with really just really dated and well horrible. If you want gps and return to home etc. Then just about any modern flight controller and inav will do the job great
  23. 4 is all you really need but the more the better. I currently use a frsky taranis 9xd+ and that supports 16...
  24. Yea you should be fine assuming you can tune out the osilations.
