  1. Really calm night so took the micro mustang out. Flies and looks much better without the wheels on. Really pleased with it, loops and rolls for fun.
  2. Remember seeing those pics, OUCH! So glad my face or fingers were out of the way! Lesson learned.
  3. It tried to take off towards the door! Had to grab it with one hand to keep it still then with the other hand remove the canopy and disconnect a very stubborn XT-60 connector.
  4. Accidentally starting up my 1100mm Durafly Skyraider in the lounge. Throttle at 50% on wrong stick. At 1am in the morning. With the prop on.
  5. I don't really fancy anything quicker just yet mate, and yeah I love my warbirds, modelled static kits since I was a nipper. Glad to hear your mate is getting into it, I think my brother is about to convert too he was very impressed with how I've been getting on. Was out last night with the Bix and the Mustang but the wind was stronger, had fun battling against it at times. Very nearly left the Ultra Micro Mustang in the car but wanted to show my brother
  6. I can relax now I've got my grown up stuff done. Hopefully be taking them both out again. Still got my Durafly Skyraider to run yet too. Felt completely at ease flying the Bixler last time, I can't imagine anything being better to learn with.
  7. No, I did my paper work and tax return. Hopefully tonight though
  8. Took my Bixler out and flew it all by myself tonight. Brought her down and launched her up again a few times. Plenty of loops and blatted about while my mate chased me with his quad. Dead pleased. Then we took the Ultra Micro out, my mate trimmed it out... and I flew that around too. Lovely. there was hardly any breeze at all so I think really helped. Not sure if you can turn the stabilisation off, don't think I'd want to really with something so small and light. Really felt like I was flying an Airfix kit around after flying the Bixler I'd recommend them as they're only 49.99 on eBay for BNF. Well worth it.
  9. Yeah the weather has been nice here to but I've been busy with a few day to day things. I'll be out over this weekend though hopefully. Mate wants to fly his quad round my Bixler for his next youtube vid. Glad you got yours back running on empty! Good luck with your FPV. In other news, I've bought another plane. Had
  10. Smoothy, is this one of the decent ones? http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Mini-DVR-808-Car-Key-Chain-Micro-Camera-Pocket-Camcorder-p-48256.html
  11. Flying for me, absolutely hooked since getting a Bixler / DX6i for my last birthday. Hubsan X4 gets at least 2 batteries through it every day too. Looking at my next plane more than my next car at the moment.
  12. A bit of both really I always start off blatting it about then I slow down when I'm concentrating on doing a specific manoeuvre. Only had dog walkers and other folk comment with 'that looks fun' etc when we've been out, never had anyone ask for a go. The answer would be 'no' if anyone did My cars have really taken the back seat lately, tbh I'm hushing my little Hubsan X4 more than anything now the weather has improved. (flew it twice round my brothers chimney pot and back yesterday when we took a break from gardening )
  13. I'll be out for a solo mission as soon as I can, would have been this weekend but was helping my brother out in his garden. I did an unintentional stall turn last time I was out actually Thanks for the feedback guys. Totally hooked.
  14. Yeah, I'll be going solo next. Done plenty of landings already so confident as I'll ever be. Been given loads of help and advice from my mate each time we go out so it's all coming together now. Get massive flight times from my LiPos. Half the time I'm just gliding it around so using next to nothing I guess it must be the same as yours, never actually timed it properly though. Certainly much longer than they last in my cars. Ta for the heads up about the wheels, I'll look into it mate.
  15. Had a cracking night with the Bixler last night, launched it myself a few times and brought it all back home in one piece too. Was still with my mate using the Buddy lead, but as he told me, he didn't have to take over from me once Ordered a set of wheels for the Bixler when I got home to get used to taking off from the ground before I start getting to grips with my new Durafly Skyraider. Really happy with my progress.
  16. Built two of these Lack TV benches (
  17. Glad to hear he's on the mend.
  18. Turned out great! Very tempted to try a car kit.
  19. Only have Electric. Noise and faff of Nitro/Petrol put me off. Went for off road for the flexibility of places to run them but love my road cars too.
  20. Superb upgrade! No going back now.
