  1. I filled mine so that it covered the gears but left about 1mm gap at the top off the casing
  2. Im too far from glasgow to bash with the rest up here im kinda stuck on a limb lol

  4. Agreed mate, ive not been out with mine for a few months now due to work and dark nights. I got as far as running in the new engine but havent been able to tune it properly so just changed out the diff oils and cleaning oiled and put her on the shelf. Might get it out at somepoint in the winter but without a proper tune its not going to be much fun
  5. So i went down and had a look at this old bmx track and i think with a little work we could be in with a usable bash site. The council have been cutting the grass but not very well, you could get away with lager 1/8 or 1/5 scales on but nothing smaller. Will see in the summer about a strimmer to clean it up and rebuilding it abit.
  6. Thats great bud, that sad thing is i live in fintry and didnt know that was there, will have to check that out at the weekend when im off
  7. Just wondering how many service or ex service members we have on here Start it off Ex RAF
  8. Cheers for that bud, think an early christmas present is in order.
  9. What combo did you go for on the brushless conversion bud? Ive got a pritty mint condition master smacker sat doing very little and was thinking about brushless however i know very little when it comes to lipos and brushless motors ect
  10. They dont seem to do any of my cars...not a good start
  11. I dont know of anywhere, if you find a good spot post it up here, i could do with something other than park land to run mine properly
  12. Sounds to me like the pull start cord wasnt wound tight enough when you fitted it bud normally because the pistion is in the high positin, try refitting it with the pistion low, but dont fit it straight, when you put the pull start to the mounting plate put it so its about 45 degrees out to the right then turn anticlockwise to line up the screws holes that should help tighten it abit. But can just be a case of trial and error mate
  13. Ts4n was my first ever hobby rc and ive still got it 10 years later even better it still runs. Not sure how you would turn it into a drifter (not my thing) as they are a standerd touring car setup. But they are solid enough and parts can be sourced through ebay chop shops at low enough prices. Avoid second hand ones if you can as alot of people on ebay dont seem to know a v1 to a v2 ect
  14. Same here with working and hoping i have spare cash to buy stuff most of the time i dont have the spare cash though so have to sweet talk the missus into lettong me spend some money lol
  15. Parks are about all there is round here bud
  16. No chance i can just about get round a track without crashing normally, id have no hope drifting lol i shall stick to bashing them so i cant do anyone any harm
  17. +1 on the TL01 bud, good basic chassis from tamiya
  18. New radio gear, i want to consolidate, so if santa could see fit to bring me a multi model memory 2.4ghz set up that would do me
  19. Hudy for my hex drivers, just normal b&q for any screwdrivers or cutters i might need
  20. Told you it worked well, like you say though you need to re lube though as its rather to good at cleaning lol Oh and a hair dryer as soon as its finished helps
  21. Still use my very first glow plug wrench i got with my thunder tiger 10years ago
  22. Bad day, i jumped to it on that one, just ignore me bud
  23. If you have all the answers then why post a question? People will only answer with thier experience and knowlage, and as you say you have had nitros for years and know what to try.
  24. Mine did that a few times, the new engine is really tight and if it doesnt start on that pull it doesnt loosen enough to recoil, wiggling the flywheel with the piston at its lowest point will recoil it. When you try and start the car use short sharp pulls will give you more chances before you run out of cord. And a bit of gt85 inside the engine and some heat to start with will help loosen it off too bud
