only rc i have hyper st... it survives all high speed crashes that ive made the battery box explode (twice) butt when you dont crash it the engine decided to develop a fault ,, but apart from engine its bullit proof

Hey, got a hyper st pro and the mac star 28 engine that comes with it seems to always require some kind of working doing on it, and can never get it running right, has a habbit of developing air leaks in the car and that for fun, never get it to hold a tune for the time it takes to put the body work on.... does anyone recommend a better or atleast more reliable engine for the job, want something reliable. quick but without braking the bank. reliability it put slightly before power,, but power is helpful

you must have been doing something pretty solid and high speed do kill a chassis on a hyper st. mines hit 2 curbs and one wall (due to runaway engine syndrome) and survived all the time

how much may i ask

i had this problem with my car.. turned out it was the exhaust manifold leaking and engine head come loose,,, only 2 out of 4 bits was even nipped tight .. look for leaks and maybe a bad glowplug making the engine burn fuel inefficiently. off subject butt, when my exhaust filled with fuel due to the above faults, at one point while trying to start my car it fired briefly but then caused a scary afterburner effect that shot flames out the tail pipe like a jet engine .. almos setting my jeans on fire ... funny but also nervous

update on getting my car back to health. went to maplin to get new batts as mine are old now and aint holding a gd charge... they r still charging now. replaces cylinder head, new clutch springs, realined engine, straightend driveshafts that bent for no apparent reason. put shineyyyy exshaust manifold on. put new engine mount bolts in, new fuel pipes. took it for a run, got it tuned in right (havnt lost nack ) thennnnnnn let it run out of fuel.. filled it back up, on the first pull the starter card spring snapped .... trip to the model shop, got a new one (and some shiney allen key runners) replaced starter with my shiney new tools... waiting for my bats too finish charging then its off to the well lit local empty asda too ogive it a good bedding in .. lazy day for me oh and i finialy got my brakes going good by adjusting the leaver arm to give it as much leverage as possible without the 2 arms hitting in middle

Hey again., anyone have any good advise about what kind of uprated servo for the steering on my hyper st ? i dont have a big big budget but any goo doffers and places to buy one is great, thanks

bitt too top end for me yet, but ill remmeber it in future when mine gets there

Hey all , got a hyper st and its been left on my shelf for few years but now trying to get back into it,, and as its stood awhile, now bits are breaking all over place.. ordered, new clutch as springs have gone, new exhaust manifold as over is half disapeard (guessing this will be causing the car to be cutting out all time and hard to start and prime) ?? new engine mounting bolts as others are on way out. apart from these its all standard. what parts do helpful people on here recommend i get in as spairs and any good upgrades that would help it be more bashable (like brakes as they seem to be shocking ) i am only using it for abit of bashign in car parks and maybe alittle offroading. all ideas welcome btw am i right in thinking it i get a clutch bell with less teeth, it will accelerate quicker off the line and have more low down torque

Hi, have a hyper st with a mac star 28. now im sure this car is cursed as everypart i fix ends up with something else going fault (bad luck i spoze) but my question is. on the clutch shoes one of the springs have snapped, i have removed the free dangling shoe.. will my car be drivable (nothing serious just tuning it up) till i can get a new spring/ clutch assembly . also does anyone know the best place for me to get parts fast for my ST live in flintshire but will travel. also anywhere good online?

Hey all, got a hyper ST , dont do anything serious with it, just mess about in car parks and the odd field. i was just wondering if anyone has converted one to only RWD? Is this advisable as i only seam to get about 40,0000ft of under steer no matter how i mess with steering and throttle. would RWD make this abit more fun on corners when not traveling at mac speed 5 as i seam to have to slow right down on corners, turn corner then point and shoot with no sideways action OR Does anyone know if there is anyway i can make the front wheels more willing to grip and maybe the back end alittle lighter
