  1. this makes more sense now I've seen your other post lol take it your on about the batteries for the starter box?? tbh you should have had the option to purchase these with the buggy. you will need the starter kit as it will have a multitool, 2 screw drivers, a fuel bottle and a glow starter with charger (unless you already have these from another buggy). you will also need the batteries for the starter box as there is no pull start on a losi 8ight buggy or truggy, if you opted for the 810 then you would have had a pull start. contact the company you placed your order with and let them know you require 2 batteries and a charger, and the starter kit with your buggy, some companies will contact you when they process it to check, others just send it out assuming you have the extras these are what you need: (these are the recommended extras by ModelSportUK) Starter Kit http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-starter-kit-nitro/rc-car-products/370202 2 X Batteries http://www.modelsport.co.uk/orion-sport-power-2200mah-stick-pack/rc-car-products/31485 Battery Charger http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fusion-vector-nx85-delta-peak-ac-dc-charger/rc-car-products/37637

  4. carpet you can get relatively cheap in strips of 5m long X 1m wide here and also have a look at this item too. Community halls are normally on the cheapish side, one I have previously hired in Barry (South Wales) was
  5. hmm could pop down here and leave the wife with the kids on the beach lol
  6. it also depends how low the flywheels are on your buggies and if the wheel can fit into the gap, you might need to file the sides down slightly.
  7. have you loosened off your glow plug??? that will release some pressure from the engine
  8. I have a losi 8ight 2.0 EU race roller here, its set for nitro at the moment so would need a conversion kit. open to offers if you want it
  9. when you say "very handy with computers" what do you mean? I'm very handy with computers as in the sense I can repair them, I can digitally recover data, I can create websites, make programmes (.exe's) using .NET coding......... it is a massive area to be "very handy" in and getting the jobs are going to be hard without getting out of the house. Web design is slowly receding, a basic 5 - 10 page website can fetch
  10. Hi AVVITT, welcome to the forum firstly and secondly prepare your bank account too the thicker brownish colour coming out of the exhaust is unburnt fuel and the additives in the fuel, for example if you was running Model Technics Quikfire 16% you would get a yellow gunk coming out which is the unburnt castor in the fuel. I would say that your car is running too rich at the moment but that will get sorted when you get onto the leaning out process. Also what fuel are you using? fuels burn differently and the exhaust smoke changes with each fuel. All I will say is keep at it, you are getting there by the sound of it. I took to this hobby in January this year, getting a TS-4n 1/10 nitro and to be honest I haven't touched it or had it running since the end of march/ beginning of April when I ventured into 1/8 nitro buggies
  11. looks like microsoft are doing a U-Turn on a lot of things http://kotaku.com/microsoft-is-removing-xbox-one-drm-514390310?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Facebook&utm_source=Kotaku_Facebook&utm_medium=Socialflow
  12. just logged in and subscribed to you both
  13. a lot of great advice here already, definately follow the suggestions of NOT placing your card details on the console, keep it at vouchers only, set the age limit on the games (all can be found under the system settings) spend time with him playing but remember its for him and his mates, being a dad and a gamer I know how easy it is to "help" on certain parts and end up carrying on further to the dismay of my kids lol. xbox also allow you to score the people you meet online, if they have poor comments their online game experience score gets affected, this ultimately affects who they get paired with in game lobbies, your game experience score improves for positive feedback from other players, meeting targets set by the system ie adding 5 friends (not sure if this is on there it is just an example) the main problems mentioned of other users abusing people is mainly centered around Call of Duty and, from personal viewing and listening experience, fifa.........with fifa it's the drop in online lobbies that players dish out abuse, normally because they think they are good and end up losing to better players lol, COD the main problem, and I know thi swill cause a lot of reaction, is gobby players such as the Americans and a certain Welsh player by the name of Dai Ling Ping....... another way of looking at it is get another xbox, for yourself, so you can join him online in the games, I do this with my son on PS3, I can keep an eye on the games he plays, his friends lists and the way he is speaking to other players and the way they speak to him. I find its a great way to bond with each other as it gives you both something to discuss. I honestly think that it is fine to let a child online via xbox or PS3 as long as there are procedures in place set by the parents. If he gets online now then he will understand the benefits of keeping his account clean, if he doesn't then microsoft will suspend/ban his account with a small or permanent ban, if he got a permaban then he would need a new xbox and a new id as the account AND the console get banned. good luck and happy gamimg
  14. ohh dear, looks like xbox are getting abuse from their fans over on facebook lol, take a look at the comments on the Jimmy Fallon Vs Phil Spencer pic https://www.facebook.com/xbox
  15. get it up and running mate and I'll subscribe to it, in the mean time check my channel out, it has a couple of MW3 clips and a lot or RC clips http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSnoopystorm?feature=watch
  16. to be honest with you, looking at the pics, getting parts should be easy enough. The front and rear shock towers are from an Ansmann Terrier 2.0 truggy, the front upper arms look very similar in layout to Thunder Tiger's EB4 S2, looking inside the wheels the knuckles are the same as those on the Terrier and Virus 3.0 buggy. A lot of interchangeable parts from other vehicles.
  17. gutting, looking for a truggy for the winter months and totally skint at the moment
  18. I was in the same boat a few months back as you are at the moment MrLizard, I rushed out and picked up a TS-4n, which in hindsight was a silly mistake, but the kid in me wanted it as it was a scooby lol. After a few days of research I found the TS-4n was the wrong model for me to use, I contacted one of my local clubs, Caldicot, and they gave me some great advice, from there I started to visit Gwent Nitro Racers in Newport, started chatting with the guys over there about what I wanted to do, what kind of models I was looking at and to be honest they were great, gave valid arguments of why not to get certain buggies, such as HPI fall apart too easily at the track we use. I walked away with a list of cars to look out for, the chairman, who runs a model shop, also managed to sort me out an EB4 S2, preowned and serviced, for a great price of
