  1. I just plugged 2 3s 2200mah LiPos into a parallel charging board, and one the batteries balancing plug sparked a little and let off a small amount of smoke. I turned the charger off immediately and took the batteries outside. What should I do, and will they be ok?

Personally I wouldnt worry. I would charge the packs individually, keeping an eye on each cell voltage. If all looks reasonable I would then storage charge, again watching voltages. If all seems well, chrage up for next run ane just keep an eye. As I say, I rekon you should be fine. I have dead shorted packs beforw now and they are still going strong.

I will charge them individual and watch them carefully. Never had a problem with LiPos before!

  3. I received my Hobbyking High Performance Racer Series Edge 540 v3 800mm (Wow that is a mouthful!) but I can't open it till xmas. I was wondering if anyone has a Racer Series? Reading around, this must be the most mixed review plane on the market, but I love the looks, and is exactly what I was looking for, when looking for a new plane. My last plane was a glider, but I wanted a stunt 3D plane this time. So whats peoples opinions? Thanks

Indoors and out ideally. But haven't got much space inside. I do have a Syma X1, and its a bit big. I am now looking at the Syma X3 and 4?

      which ever is cheaper

just don't fly the hubsan x4 outside with any kind of wind, doesn't end well

The Syma X5 is a lot bigger than the Hubsan X4. You can fly the X5 outside, and indeed you'll need to for tricks cos its a bit big for indoors. Hovering etc is OK inside, just not stunts. The camera on the X5C is a bit rubbish.

  5. I have a the DX6i and I think it is a really good, reliable transmitter. The only issue is the chrome covering the handle on the back of the transmitter. It can peel off. However I sent the transmitter back to Spektrum to sort a switch (Completly my fault - I dropped it) and they changed the handle un-asked. I would go for the DX6i personally.
  6. You can switch off the key tone in the setup menu
  7. I am not sure for your specfic setup, but for my 3800kv motor, I use 26t pinion with 77 spur. So 26/77. Hope this helps
  8. HK Edge 540 V3 800mm just arrived, but can't open it till xmas :(

  11. Another vote for the Firestorm/Blitz. I've got a Blitz, and have never broken a thing, even on 3s
  12. Yes! Finally finished building the new FBL Head on my 450 3D. 2 different heads and over 2 months waiting!

  13. I've not come across that specific issue, however I have had a problem with them before, where I paid extra for customs, but then received an extra invoice for more customs. I sent them numerous messages and never got a reply, and its now around a year ago since the order. Don't expect a quick reply, if at all.

Ah ok. Its a box, but not too big. Biggest thing is some 325mm blades.

Ordered Thursday night, shipped Friday, arrived at local hub Saturday morning, delivered Monday. Used DHL.

  15. What shaft do you want? I have an 18t 3.2mm shaft, and a 20t 5mm shaft.
  16. Anyone got a FBL unit for sale?

  17. Fully working, just a 3 axis unit needed. Cheapest possible Thanks,
  18. I haven't even changed any of the steering. It is a good upgrade though. What gearing are you using by the way?
  19. I still use my Blitz a lot, 3800kv Tenshock motor, SC8 and Nanda blocks at the rear. A lot of fun on 2s, and pure insane on 3s.
  20. Just had my first crash with my Blade 450. Got let off lightly, but still a heart breaking feeling when it hits the ground. :(
