  1. The BMX track in Torquay is excellent, no been there for a while. The satellite images doesn't do it justice. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/preview?hl=en#!data=!1m4!1m3!1d730!2d-3.5223367!3d50.4922318!2m1!1e3&fid=7
  2. Just open a not received case on eBay he will have to refund or prove delivery
  3. when you have to clean you model after driving through dog poo
  4. Mine is my go to basher. Fun and easy to drive and jump. certainly not perfect (but what model is) worth every.
  5. I used similar for one off prints the postage normally more than the item. That's what put me off the £200 eBay specials - need a lot of time and tweaking to get working. I friends got a makerbot mini and it was take out box and start printing but are not cheap. Ditto for the Dermel offerings. think I just keep sending items off for printing.
  6. Anyone still 3d printing or has the fad past now? looking at getting one to play around with any suggestions?
  7. The IT Guy or The man in glasses that fixes anything with a power cord or batteries (if the user installed them ).
  8. Stock spur - 18 tooth pinion, 380Kv, 12s part 2 of video
  9. Got it mounted temporary - need to find a machine shop to remake the top of the mount from the Kershaw kit to make it wider for the ESC mount holes. And run it this morning. ESC is great - feels like a Hobby Max5/6/8 - need to play with the program card and see what can be changed. About 12 mins runtime from full charged set of batteries to 3.85v left in packs. Temps - hardly got warm. plenty of room to gear up Brakes a bit strong but sure that can be programmed to be less. forgot how crap the stock servo is on grass. Anyone want to buy my old Alien ESC
  10. Hoping to get some time over the weekend. Currently got the 380Kv in the Losi for some 12s action
  11. check cable is connected to receiver? The cable on my ESC snapped in the radio box. Info from manual about ESC and LEDs 1. During the Starting-up Pr ocess • The RED LED keeps flashing rapidly indicating the ESC doesn’ t detect any throttle signal or the neutral thr ottle value stored on your ESC may be dif ferent from the current value stored on the transmitter. • The GREEN LED flashes “N/ (number of)” times indicating the num ber of LiPo cells you have connected to the ESC. 2. In Operation • RED & GREEN LEDs die out when the thr ottle trigger is in thr ottle neutral zone. • The RED LED tur ns on solid when your vehicle runs forwar d. The GREEN LED will also come on when pulling the thr ottle trigger to the full (100%) thr ottle endpoint. • The RED LED tur ns on solid when you brake the vehicle, the GREEN LED will also come on when pushing the thr ottle trigger to the full brake endpoint and setting the “brake amount/maximum brake for ce” to 100%. • The RED LED tur ns on solid when you r everse your vehicle. 3. When Some Protection is Activated • The RED LED flashes a short, single flash that r epeats (☆, ☆, ☆) indicating the low voltage cutof f protection is activated. • The GREEN LED flashes a short, single flash that r epeats (☆, ☆, ☆) indicating the ESC thermal/overheat pr otection is activated.
  12. maybe hobbywing just don't see a demand for the product, (they might have to order 10000+ units and don't think they will sell)
  13. maybe they will in time once product is proven - don't want to risk the hobbywing name on a new product
  14. Also found this https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3064042-ZTW-Super-Star-300A-12S-ESC-for-1-5-rc-cars
  15. So a quick google shows ZTW shop and the car ESC look very much like hobbywings and the programming cards to http://www.ztwshop.com/product/ztw-beast-pro-series-brushless-esc/ http://www.ztwshop.com/product/Program-Card/
  16. Mine painted in mud and grass.

  18. I use Milwaukee M12 range - I use for taking Laptops/PC part to RC and general DIY task. Not the cheapest but I have other tools in the range so I share the batteries. I have this model and the order version at work that is 5 years old now and never had any issues https://www.toolstation.com/shop/p18028?r=googleshopping&rr=marin&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg73r54yZ2gIVL7vtCh0dEgTEEAQYAyABEgKqOvD_BwE https://www.toolstation.com/shop/p42711?r=googleshopping&rr=marin&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg73r54yZ2gIVL7vtCh0dEgTEEAQYASABEgJrOvD_BwE
  19. Our family dog - Skye - shes a sprocker - just turned 1 a few days ago. This was take during one of her first walks and found long wet grass. Take a few months ago waiting for me to get the tennis ball from the car to go play fetch.
  20. its great stock, Just up the BEC voltage to 8.4v for better steering.
  21. also might be worth asking saviown and toddfg - they both had alien esc and other large scale esc if I remember correctly toddfg got a flier ESC, have to ask him how he got on with it
  22. ESC - has issues as tug described - not perfect but I don't know if there have been any firmware updates as I have not played with mine since last year. Programing box I failed at getting it to work / save settings I got the manual from Alien but didn't try again. (its on the to-do list) here's a run video
  23. I think they are made by a Chinese OEM, I saw a couple of Chinese websites selling very similar looking ESC. here is a example made by Flier - and the software is identical to the alien programing software https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Controller-esc-16S-400A-For-brushless-motor-rc-racing-car/513485_32383025031.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.117320af6MmjkZ I only when with the Alien as they had PayPal and where UK based so if it was useless I could return it.
