  1. Well done mate, Haven't really done any RC for years.........😚
  2. Same as that , just gathering dust , should probably sell everything or maybe the next generation of my family could enjoy them.
  3. My sentiments exactly but i might just go ahead anyway and hope for the best.
  4. Thanks mate, that's a pity because people are rating this pretty well with the gear change.
  5. johninderby I'm getting a couple of these for Crimbo but I've read the gears are stripping really quickly and people are replacing with metal ones but I can't seem to get info on them, could you recommend replacement metal gears, also batts that will fit. Cheers
  6. Ordered one of these (the capri wurth) for Christmas, will find your build review very helpful I'm sure.
  7. Yeah we've all fallen into the trap of buying a car based on the cosmetics I'm afraid, I ordered a Tamiya ford Capri Wurth for my christmas present to self just cause it looks great, Better stay on topic now mind for fear of the PC Police.
  8. seems to me you guy's could have saved yourselves a lot of trouble if you bought a TT MT4G3, the bashers choice, just sayin is all .
  9. Just out of curiosity before buying a Savox or Hitec I bought this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=61501 for my TT MT4 as the stock servos are rubbish and guess what, it's absolutely fine can't go wrong at that price. Should fit if not you'll find one that does all the servo dimensions are clearly shown on the site.
  10. Looks like a really nice buggy but at 60 cuid cheaper I'd be leaning toward the Thunder Tiger EB4-G3 tried and tested but yeah only 4s compatible stock. I read this thread from start and the Arrma's seem to have a few teething problems also.
  11. Too late to back track now Gents, so c'mon Doddy how much they payin ya to endorse the chassis????
  12. Same as that mate the mt4 is the first rc I've had that I can take out bash and go home without having to get spare parts every time it's taken tumbles that would mangle others.
  13. No mate you'll get the motor and esc together as a combo for 50 cuid or less as Juggs says. I got this one https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=47105 recently for an E-firestorm works great. You wont have to touch the gears.
  14. That's a bit opinionated Juggs, he's "getting started " like me, don't confuse him with skimming motors and taking temperatures just yet , we're not all as qualified as you. Who's the muppet who was gonna skim a 6 cuid motor again ?? Shouldn't LYAO at other peoples opinions you could end up a laughing stock yourself.
  15. I guess, but the cheapest way to get up and running and faster would be a brushless upgrade but it would still cost you in the region of 50 cuid which is 50 cuid towards a new car though + you'll get more buzz with a new rc. Having said that I'm trying to get a few parts for my old Ansmann DNA as it was really nice to drive, the buggies in my opinion are more prone to front end breakages especially around the shock towers with everything exposed etc
  16. That sounds good to me my friend and that's probably what most people have done including myself, save up and get a shiny new rc that's faster than your last one.
  17. LOL you wouldn't go to the trouble of skimming a 6 cuid motor would you ?? It's a mad monkey not a hpi baja. Like I say drive your rc, have fun when parts break replace them and upgrade to brushless, all part of the fun, don't take it too seriously after all it's "not" a real car.
  18. It's normal for both to be hot just keep driving until something packs in, You can get a brushless combo (esc and motor) set up these days cheaply with a lipo batt you'll be driving faster.
  19. So I bought and fitted the leopard 60A esc 4370 kv motor a while back and I think the esc is shot so I bought a trackstar 80 amp esc and 5200 kv motor combo. Question, can I use the existing leopard motor with the trackstar esc to save me switching out the motors and have a spare motor.
  20. As posted to me from another member Jang has lots of videos on this stuff and keeps it real simple too, also check out his painting tutorials if that 's your bag.
  21. MT 4 becomes a street car Parma '69 Muscle Car with Road Rage on Desperados #
  22. Just dropped by to say the paint saga is over, the Xciter is done, simple yes, too simple maybe, I'm moving swiftly on to the muscle car if I have enough paint that is, the Tamiya spray cans give just enough and I mean just enough paint to cover a 1/10 shell. Pics aren't great, will have to click to enlarge
  23. What ? did you even paint the Xciter, believe it or not I'm still waiting for paints. Don't worry Louise will relieve you of the Parma shell. So you reckon the eb4 over the mt ?
