  4. bought my kids a WLtoys A959, hopefully they will enjoy it, its probably going to end up in total carnage, but you've gotta encourage the next generation of bashers right? 😂

  6. Hey Guys So after some advice, after a 2 year absence from anything rc, im looking to get back into the hobby with a 1/8 electric buggy. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, just a decent budget basher for myself and my kids, i was looking at the arrma typhon v4 6s, but then i spotted the Hobao Hyper VS electric roller for reasonable money. A few years ago i had a hobao hyper 7 nitro, and that was pretty solid with decent spares availability. The roller appeals to me, as i can paint the shell and re use some of my electrics, as i still have a tx/rx and servo , and i can source my own esc/motor. Is hobao still a decent contender in todays market, or is it a dying brand where stockists are banging out kits cheap to clear stock, and im gonna start to struggle to find spares? cheers, scoobie
  7. Hey guys 🙂 ,

it's been a few years, But I've got the urge to build a 1/8th kit, i'm looking at something in stock in the uk, top of the list is a tlr 8ight-XE, any thoughts on an alternative option?, not fussed on a truggy or buggy, must be a kit as i enjoy the build.

@Scoobie007 - was just about to text you but my phones decided to do an update.

@ostewart is selling some very nice electrics for a 1/8 kit if you get one, might do you a bit of a deal as a package.

  8. @Bigjimknickers, i posted on your status update, but i will stick it here too, ive recently sold my daystate airwolf mct, not sure what calibre your using, but i have 4 or 5 tins of .177 pellets in 4.51/4.52, jsb exacts, diablo, air arms field, daystate sovereign, happy to send some to you for testing to see what your barrel likes.
  9. on leave for 3 weeks, got round to building a custom loop water cooler for the pc, happy with the results for a first attempt

  10. glad your happy with it mate, i nearly went with a teckno et 48.3 truggy, or the team durango dex8t, but i just cant shake the want for a vorza, one day i will get one lol
  11. lovely looking car mate, always wanted one of these, its one of my rc 'wants', nearly bought one a few months ago, but ended up buying the losi 4.0 kit, mainly as i just like building kits, but a vorza is on my list for the future
  12. kent, i see your in walsall, bit far to travel for two extra batteries lol
  13. my lad got at least 10-15 mins of run time, but obviously it depends how heavy you are on the throttle, if your close to me i can chuck in another 2s lipo and a 3s lipo, as well as the one it would post it with, i dont have a running video, but im off for a few days so will see what i can do
  14. sorting through some old stickers ive horded over the years and i came across these, i no longer need them as my hyper 7 is long gone, if they can do anyone a turn to spruce up your rc let me know, just pay postage and they are yours
  15. hi mate, not looking for trades at the moment, but if you needed more info on the battery pack size for future info let me know and i can measure the tray for you as i dont know off hand,
  16. works fine, just charge up the battery and away you go

    *SOLD*

hi guys up for sale is my losi mini 8, not had it long, bought it for the lad, but he has lost all interest and wants an electric scooter lol. its in great condition, few marks as to be expected, i fitted an rpm front bumper. Will come boxed, with rx, and original manuals, also with two spare spurs and 1 x turnigy 1700mah 2s lipo. £150, fees and postage included
  18. few pics of my marin rocky ridge, its a few years old, been used and abused on my weekly 30 mile ride home from work :-)
  19. ive got a marin rocky ridge as my main go to bike, its a 2013 version, its a hardtail but its my weekly driver for the 30 mile cycle home. ive got an old skool kona kahuna full sus which i paid for with many many paper rounds, im 36 now, so its about 20 years old in my parents shed
  20. it was a cracking build and i really enjoyed it, its probably the best quality kit ive built, ive got a bit of ocd, which rears its ugly head in rc models, so i dont like to get them dirty or scratched, which is odd as im also into mountain biking and i have no problems getting that as filthy as possible lol.
