Thanks for the input mate . Maybe I will try a 4s at some point dont want to destroy the diffs and shafts straight away tho ?. Ive found the combo max 10 combo on modelsport gonna go with the 4600kv one.

Picking up a slash 4x4 and im gonna stick a different esc and motor in it. Looking at the max 10sct version. Its not available as a combo tho so what motor does anyone recommend. Im gonna be running 3s.

Cheers @RCbutcher. I did have a goolrc motor but the shaft snapped on it so wasnt impressed. I have some of there pinions but havent used them so cant comment. What pitch are the gears in the scx ii ?

It has aluminium links aswell the rtr has the thin steel links.

Just gotta wait for my birthday now before I can play with the present I brought myself Im gonna just throw a cheap set of electrics in . Maybe a hobbywing 1080 esc, rc4wd 35t motor and maybe a power hd servo the waterproof one.

I got a brand new kit assembled tho . With a honcho shell and rear tail. The jeep shell also. Tough armour side steel rock sliders. 6 lug wellar white beadlocks with rc4wd baja mtz's mounted and the wheels already weighted. Blazer steel fromt bumper. And the stock wheels and part trees all boxed with the manual and everything brand new for £310 . Bargain he even delivered it . Only problem I have noticed is the tyres seem like the foams dont fill them out properly gonna have to take a look inside them. Really happy with it tho looks awesome .

I went with the scx 10ii in the end got a cracking deal on ebay.

Thanks gaz I was waiting for your input. Regards to the trx have you tried any different rims/beadlocks I have read that it can be awkward finding ones to fit the new axles. So in a nutshell I cant really go wrong either way all depends how much I want to spend.

Thanks guys would love to hear from a owner of the hpi. That carisma looks a proper bargain looks so much look the scx 10 . From watching videos the hpi im leaning towards it .

Hi with my birthday rapidly approaching I cant decide on which crawler to purchase. I really like all the engineering thats gone into the traxxas trx and I think it would be a decent rig. The thing holding me back on this one is im just not a big fan of traxxas and how they do business. But im finding that im so drawn in by the hpi venture that I maybe will just go with my gut and grab one of these. The cast aluminium axles look really nice and will add plenty of low down weight straight out the box. It might just require some nice beadlocks. Then there is the scx ii ,I have however already had 3 scx 10's and it looks more or less the same. Any thoughts or feedback on the rigs ive mentioned pls.
