Do they make some bricks 10x as hard on purpose? A 5 min job to out up extra shelves in man cave takes 3 times as long, half bricks are done in quickly in seconds, rest take ages. Would a SDS drill be better?

If someone offered me £2k cash they could proabably walk into my lock up and have every single bit of RC Ive got ???

Anyone use these Fitbit things? Are they any good, reliable, accurate?

2400 steps was about 1.2 miles i found.
approx 10 miles for 20000 steps, depends how long your legs are and the length of the stride if you want to be analytical.
I thought the amazon warehouses were predominantly picked by robots, hence the hyper efficient picking system.

Challenging day tomorrow, swan rescue course, capture swan ( could be fun), place in bag, into vehicle and off for a short ride. Hope I am not last if they are using the same swan, because it's not going to be happy !!.

Its difficult, as we dont really see the details of what all these people do, i'm sure we all have half a dozen people we feel are more deserving and should be recognised, but in reality the real heros or troopers which do the work without any reward, do it because can and do, its in their genetic make up to be bloody marvellous people, and carry out the works for themselves and the personal gratification they get from it. They would probably prefer to turn down such awards, to avoid the spotlight, as they dont need it so show them how brill they are.
Where do we draw the line, a soldier, a heart surgeon, social workers, voluntary workers, millions of options.
Is a politician or scientist that makes a discovery or pushes a bill through to enable medication to be readily available to all on the NHS worthy, saving thousands of lives. fascinating topic when you sit back and think it through.
Good shout QRC

I have to say, I really do 'get' the Tamiya thing now, having bought a couple, I just want more of them, even not to use, I never thought I'd convert to the shelfer side lol, but I would gladly spend about £5k on these ones I'm looking at, just to build them, photo them and dust them off every few weeks, I feel nostalgic and I didn't even have them in the 70s or 80s, how does that work

Considering a Gasser.... Do they require the tuning level of a Nitro? Or are they more reliable such as a petrol lawn mower?
-
Gassers are great, no fiddly tuning necessary for general bashing.
All you need is compression, spark and fuel. if it wont start its one of them.
i've not started any of mine for 6 months and then last week, drop of new fuel, charged battery, few pumps on the bulb, 3-5 pulls and we're off, all 4 started within a few minutes.
bad thing is findingsomewhere to play.

seems a nice fella but farmers are normally either really placid or argry. no middle ground

the bloke used to have 15, had them out for the kids parties, put a mower engine in one of them. he worked as a shopfitter years ago fitting out the stores and when they went bump they offered him a load for next to nothing. these 3 have sat for 15 years, but were all running last time out.
they went for 1220 first time got relisted, put a cheeky 750 bid in, they ended the auction at 8.am ???
a little TLC could turn a little profit, if i ever sell any.
