  1. I have public liability insurance up to
  2. Only crash your mates cars Is a good rule
  3. That's how i feel, dogs are noisy, kids are noisy, my rc car is just a different sort of noise.
  4. What are the actual rules etc? Is a local recreation ground that i want to go and use my Marder on. Do i have any rights to use it on public land like that? Is it illegal? If i get reported what would happen?
  5. I think you will be surprised at the general opinion of men driving round in an old merc convertible and also the GTO isn't exactly a well reviewed car
  6. I need one of these as mine is broken Untitled by AcePinJim, on Flickr Just wondering if anyone here has some spares laying around before i buy a brand new one. Thanks
  7. Great. Cheers for that. Nice and cheap lol. Car was being weird. If you held throttle halfway it would be fine and gradually pick up speed and belt around. But all of a sudden it would just bog down. Revs would struggle to increase and made a weird noise which I can't find the right word to describe apart from a bogging sort of noise. 8. No. Not tried the spring yet tbh. Tried a pic of the part that broke. Not sure how this happened or when it happened. Better find a new one of them. Also noticed the other side hardly turns due to a seized bearing. More stuff to buy. Will get a clutch spring as well. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Just changing the drive shaft boots and noticed the hub where shafts goes into the wheel etc. Its a bit rusty and the hub has cracked. Quite badly too. Am now wondering if this is causing the bogging down. Thinking the shaft must be locking up or spinning under acceleration. Would that cause bogging down. Is fine if I lift wheels off the ground. 10. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 Cool mate. Hardly see any about now. I remember spending a lot of time in a mk1
  11. I have no idea tbh. Might replace a couple of parts though. I got it 2nd hand. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Taking the Marder apart as i still find it bogging down when going from half throttle to full throttle, Been playing with the screws this morning for a while and still can't get it correct. Am about to check the tightness of the head bolts and intake bolts etc. Never really had it apart properly since i've owned it. Just took the clutch out and thought it looked a bit odd, but this is all new to me so could be normal? 13. I've got a few hoops and sticks Think one stick is missing but easy to replace
  14. This some other vids on his channel too
  15. I was watching some chaps on youtube with am FG Marder and i couldn't believe the beating it took, mine does a tiny little roll and breaks, this thing was jumping a lorry.
  16. I could probably make it this weekend, either day. Although would be with my marder, still need to get it setup and use it for longer than 10mins
  17. I like my FG marder, never had a baja or any other petrol rc though. The only thing i had to get used to is turning on grass/mud with grippy tyres and it flipping over, I actually have to slow down a bit and think about the turn rather than just whacking the controller left or right in an instant.
  18. They probably won't be adjustable unless someone upgraded them. Think they call it an adjustable turnbuckle set. Should be tie rods or track rods. Got mine on eBay. No matter how much I adjusted the servo horn and standard parts I could never get it right. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  19. They have turned it into cheese. I think that's what processed is. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I treat my petrol one like an old lawnmower. Look forward to stripping it down one day to give it a full rebuild. Got it 2nd hand so just using it for now Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  21. I got my 1st petrol last year, went for a Marder 2nd hand. Its pretty awesome compared to other RC cars i've had, i find it handles more like a real car and due to the size and weight of the thing its easier to break. You have to drive a bit more carefully and not flat out into everything like most rc cars do. I tend to enjoy the tinkering as well, getting out proper spanners and tools
  22. If a servo did loose signal. Will it generally stay where it was or return to centre? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  23. I think they still have the button on engine, mine has, but you fit a kit so you can kill it remotely using the Tx
  24. Tamiya And Midnight Pumpkin Owners Network Or T.A.M.P.O.N
  25. I use it with my marder, not had an issue, i too can't use the wheel style controllers. I fitted a killer superbee with mine on the 3rd channel. I have heard people say if you turn transmitter off the car stays running, but i haven't tried. The range is better than my eyes so never lost signal and it warns you if the batteries in handset are below 8.5v. I found some of the features really useful, like maximum steering angle, throttle hold etc
