    so i sold an item on ebay, it was sent via royal mail so it did not have a tracking number but the buyer hasn't received it and has opened a dispute. I have the post office receipt but is that enough to get my money back?

      Proof of postage is more to deter people trying it on. I've had a couple of 'lost' items turn up with the buyers as soon as I've made it clear there was proof I posted them. I think RM give themselves 15 working days before you can officially claim anything back as officially 'lost in the post'
