OK, so I took it out for a spin, and it is sweet as a nut (a sweet nut, obviously, not one that a squirrel has wee'd on or anything) So that's good. If it does it again, I'll reset the thing and go from there. I did ruin my shell though as it wheelied too much and kept landing on the back end. Oh well. Time for a new shell. Looking t the prices nowadays, I might have a go at making my own.

It is an ex nitro machine. I drew up and machined the bits myself. Running a single speed hub, brakes via ESC. Cell count is fine. Solder joints are fine. I don't have another motor or esc to try, but I did re-set the esc, and it seemed smoother, for now. In my hand at least. Stripped motor to clean and oil bearings while I was messing around. So I will see how it fares another day. Fingers crossed.

Hi guys Have the 150 amp Quicrun H/wing esc in my LST e, and has been running without fault, until now. It has started being all glitchy, like cogging. I've held the motor in my hand while applying low throttle and it does a fair bit of juddering with the red led doing the same (the green only chimes in when on full chat) It's not done this before. I've checked teh motor out and that's all nice still. Any idea? Many thanks in advance.

Hi all Selling my FTX Outlaw, brushed version, ARTR. Light bar fitted, which runs off a receiver pack. I have installed the switch on the dashboard in front of the co pilot. Driver figures have been hand painted for a bit more realism and detail. RW Racing pinion is fitted also. The ESC and motor aren't stock as they died sometime ago. Instead is a 540 motor and a Hobbywing 1060-a-like ESC. It has 4mm bullet connectors on currently. Battery/batteries not included. The only minor point is that recently the switch in the radio has gone a bit funny, so I leave it on and just remove a cell from the radio when not in use. £72.40 including postage and paypal fees for goods and services.

Hi guys I have here my brushed FTX Outlaw. It's been loads of fun but it's time to move on. I always keep stuff too long and then I can't get rid as no one wants it anymore. So, It has an LED light bar with an alu mount. The switch for which is on the co pilots part of dashboard. Hand painted driver figures, adds a little something to the model. Thicker grease in the diffs RW Racing pinion gear Hobbywing 1060 esc and Tamiya 540 motor as OE items died. Preparing to say goodbye to my Outlaw. It's been a good crack, but I need the room right now so it's time I moved it on. I have a light bar on an aluminium mount, RW racing machined Steel pinion, a Hobbywing 1060 esc and a Tamiya 540 silvercan as the OE ones died of natural causes. All in working order. Only issue is the power switch on radio is a bit dicky, so I've left it in the on position and have been taking a double A out of the bottom. Pics up on the classifieds shortly.

Definitely 6mm diameter. I might get away with 1/4" at a stretch, but 6mm is ideal. Does anyone know what springs are this diameter? I posted the same question on oOple too. I want to see who is the most helpful

Job done. The spare Absima one I had fitted. Gives a stiffer wheel action too. Which I'll have to wait and see if I get on with that, but I don't se it being an issue.

Cool, cheers guys. It's happened before, at a race meeting of all places. I've yet to pull the tranny apart, but I've just found a spring for an Absima cr3p, as the stepson has one and his went some time ago too. I must have bought two when I fixed his. I'll keep you posted.

Hi guys I'm after a slipper spring for a mod I'm planning on something, but I'm after something around the 6mm diameter mark, and the longer the better. Does anyone have dimensions of slipper springs handy? even if you could measure your own up and tell me what they're from, that would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Hahaha, cheery. So, after fancying one for a while, a new Clod was bought. I unboxed the Clod, looked at it with the video camera. Had a small paddy in the middle of my midlife crisis, then finished the video.

Did another 30 minutes of testing on the driveshafts I designed. All looking good so far.

Evening all Finished printing these yesterday. No lenses yet as I've not yet been able to grasp printing translucent ABS, but lexan ones will do. For now, I simply painted the infill, ready to put lexan over the top. I've given them a dolly up with a fine emery block to smooth them out. I have a bottle of acetone but not used it for smoothing yet. They're a bit dodge on the underside (where no one looks) but they're ok. Anyway, Big Brute rollbar spot lights. I might get some white ABS next and give them a go on that. Let me know what you think.

You're not wrong. I have mostly skipped PLA, as I'm interested in making parts that work. next step would be PETG if my printer can manage it, but that's a way off yet. I've only had it about 3 weeks, so I'm on a learning curve.

ABS Sir. Also, yes, vertically. I am going to attempt a horizontal print today though. I will be taking the parts for testing though, as I'm still testing my driveshafts.

It features captured M3 nyloc nuts, and although it's in black, I will be printing one in red, so it matches the towers. The white bits you can see in the grain of the print, is just Solvol Autosol where I have polished the part to bring the finish up a bit better. I'm assuming these will fit other Kyosho Car Crusher trucks. I can make more if anyone is interested. I'm about to retrain for a new career so any parts sold would be massively appreciated. I'm also working on some replica Roll bar spot lights. and driveshafts. Photos soon.

Ok, so this isn't exactly setting the world alight right now, but I'm having fun. Just designed and printed a rear shock tower brace. I have my rear shocks mounted to the rear as it gets rid of toe out under compression. Alas, the shock tower is quite floppy, So I made this:

I can't believe you still have a mechanical speedo in that. I remember the ceramic on mine crumbling away. Period or not, I wouldn't be using one of those, I spent too long looking at ads in mags dreaming about having an esc to warrant going back, lol.

...and there's me thinking I was on my own in having a Big Brute in this day and age. I'm thinking of getting some wintergreen to try and renovate my tyres a little, in the way of suppleness or something. They are still in good shape with no signs of perishing yet. Loving the Brute again. Took it out last friday and the shocks made a hell of a difference. I know it's never gonna be anything but, but I enjoy doing things to improve older cars, even if it's just the tiniest thing. In fact, Just got rid of that hideous toe out the back end does when the suspension is compressed, It now retains it's toe in instead. How? I swapped the hubs over, and as such, moved the wishbone shock mounting to the rear of the top wishbone, instead of the front.
