  1. 8 x 2s lipos. I do have a bank of 14 x 12v batts rigged up as a solar store though. I have 44 x 18650 single cell batts and about 100 rehargable AAs
  2. Bump it to 1amp discharge. The battery is rated at almost 100amp discharge
  3. The bullets will go into female bullets. Youll then protect where the cable goes in with heat shrink. My 4mm bullets were screw connectors so no soldering whichbwas nice. Its just easier to have them in a way you cant mess up and wire them the wrong way round
  4. My granddad mobile I prefer the badge on the right
  5. I too feel I've just wasted a bit of dosh as I've just swapped everything out from bullets to deans as I like the simple nature of deans. Poop
  6. so around 19.25v for a 5S battery.
  7. Just wondering whether I should put this to the back of my shed or sell it. I've now got two B6AC chargers. One is perfect and is my normal charger. One is in my office drawer. I think that is because it has a dodgy screen. It works 90% of the time but sometimes the screen goes a bit iffy. With something like a LIPO charger it worries me that there could be more wrong inside. I've gone and ordered a new charger from HobbyKing - Tunigy Smart 6 - as I wanted something a little more high tech with additional power for some new batts. This means I will now have three chargers and I don't really need that. I'm considering selling one of the B6AC's. I'd prefer to sell the one with the slightly iffy screen but I'm not sure if I could sell it for a sensible sum with telling people it has a known fault. Any idea on how much it'd be worth? Would anyone buy a known faulty charger - it works perfectly at charging, just the screen goes all " #~!;#1#1#1#1#\/ " PS - Sorry if this is more of a "whats it worth" post and should be elsewhere. I'm still quite new to this forum.
  8. I got out into the shed tonight and re did my esc mount. Now the whole thing is protected by a lot of body and there is a lot of airflow around it. I also scraped a few layers of skin off of my thumb and had to wipe blood off of the car when i was squeezing my hand into gaps it shouldn't be. I now know I need better tools not made out of cheese
  9. I used to do this but it seems I knackered two packs by not using them for 6 months and leaving them fully charged. I only managed to save the other two packs as they were left in my car - as in REAL car - over winter and the cold seems to have saved them. I will start storgage charging them if the car isn't used for more than a week.
  10. If you are just "storing" them charge them at full pelt. When they get to the correct voltage it'll cut off and you'll be fine. The chances are it will be discharging the batts to get down to the 3.8v storage voltage unless you have just been bashing it.
  11. I finalised my receiver mount and my esc mount: it went from something like this: to this Oh and I took a bucket load of photos http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/171880-my-little-xt2e-pics/
  12. So I put it together this afternoon after fixing a new antenna mount and giving it a bit of a test. Something still isn't quite right but I thought I'd snap a few pictures of it.
  13. Thanks for your suggestions, I've already bought the batts, it is just the charger that I need now. I only have a 120A ESC so the 5800s @ 30C discharge will be 174 amps continuous or almost 350 peak. I'd think what I've bought should be okay.
  14. So I say thanks for the suggestion of the 5800 packs as I hadnt seen them in the uk. Thats one part of my order done. Is there anything else anyone can suggest for a charger. I like the ones with a graph on them too. I dont mind going to 7amp instead of 10amp if the charger is better. Ive actually got two b6ac chargers so if I was desperate for a quick charge I could use more chargers on multiple batts. I dont want to spend more than about 50 quid on a charger but can be coerced into spending more if it really needs it This looks ideal, if only it was 10amp http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__15403__Turnigy_Smart6_80w_7A_Balance_Charger_with_Graph_Screen.html Thoughts?
  15. Ive got my dx3c up and running now and it goes to the end of my street at over 100m without issue and that is with the antenna squidged into the body and not poking out of the shell at all
