  1. Why buys a ipad mini anyway? You can buy something better for half the price.
  2. ummmm what? Large scale are brilliant. I wouldn't go back to 1:10 anymore
  3. Got a plastic cup from medicine, has 40ml marking so for every 40ml just fill up with 1L. Accurate and easy enough
  4. If you want something to be painted in red paint, you have to paint with red paint. After the paint has dried, the paint is red, since red paint is red. If you want it to be painted in red paint, you wouldn't use any other paint then red paint, because other paints aren't red paint, which is what yours to be painted in- red paint
  5. Pretty simple really, loctite (blue) any bolts that go into metal. Check servo movement, pushrods, end points Check steering movement, wheels, shaft and gears rotate without any friction, good meshing. Check engine idle and high is set. Batteries charged, and cables are in good condition, not cuts or rubbing against moving parts.
  6. Probably a good time to stick to old method of MP3 player....no sync software. I use drag and drop method. Media Monkey might be able to retrieve the music from your ipod
  7. Having major stability problems. Windows 7 64 bit. It was working fine a while ago, all I've done is system updates, driver updates. Now it's unstable. In World Of Tanks, Company of Heroes 2, and Metro Last Light the game halts, sometimes I get BSOD, but if I alt tab back to windows a yellow triangle pops in task bar and it says something like ATI video driver has recovered from a time out or something like that. I thought it might have been a security update causing a problem, so I've done a fresh install (SP1 slipsteam from USB stick) No security updates, just usual stuff to get it up and running, SATA, GPU, soundcard etc. Played a game and it's done it again- although I haven't been using it for a few days to see if it's as unstable as before. Intel i7 CPU, 6GB RAM, Gigbabyte X58 motherboard, Intel SATA & chipset drivers installed. ATI 6950 with ATI 13.4 drivers. Asus Xonair PCI-E soundcard, 850W Corsair HX PSU. It's doing my head in.
  8. spdif is digital audio, that's the protocol- coaxial electrical, or optical (light) Red & white is analogue audio. So if you want to go from digital, to analogue you'll need a DAC of some sort, or a digital processor, to downsample multi-channel audio to 2 channel stereo.
  9. Bought two of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300661929652
  10. Putting up a pair of Kef Coda 9, I'm unsure on how much to ask for them. I have the box. Mint condition.
  11. yeah picked two of those up as well. Not sure how well display works, since it goes to red when servos are in use...even on a freshly charged pack. Analogue servos never caused that. Still cheaper than
  12. Just changing over the throttle/brake servo from stock CYS to Alturn 850MG. Drilled holes for the throttle rod and front disc brake rods. But now when the servo rotates clockwise (throttle back) the pushrod bends. Could be the problem the rod is offscew in the (not sure what the part is called) metal tube with a hole in in, with screw thread that goes through the servo horn. When I push the rod up slightly (say if the engine was elevated a few mm) it seems to sort the problem out. Would the best choice be to replace the rod to servo mounting (I need one that is higher) If I push the throttle arm on the engine by hand, the pushrod should have little resistance, rod goes through the servo/rod attachement. But on the Carson with the Alturn there is sticking and resistance. On the FG it's fine. Would it be better to replace the servo-horn with identical part like FG? Rather than metal-metal, metal-plastic. I think the Alturn is taller, so the angle through the fitting is causing friction. Or I could replace the rod itself it has a bend and it's angled down, so new rod should fix the problem? http://rc-car-online.de/shop/de/products/carson_karosserie_angebot-smartech-c5-rtr-mit-2-4-ghz-fernsteuerung-karosse-zur-wahl-1-st-.html
  13. Something like this. Check the RX and charge leads are suitable though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370634277820
  14. Haven't read the threat but 1) Ditch that battery pack for a sub C 5 cell pack 2) Get a RX box and fit RX inside it.
