  1. Hello... Oh, that echoed a bit. Quiet here. I recently resurrected my Firestorm from its 10 years in the loft and had a fun few bashing sessions, I really missed it! The inevitable breakages have happened and I've been OK for spares. However, I'm getting a lot of diff chatter. They've been rotated already so it is time for new ones... However, they have been discontinued and I've not had any luck so far finding a suitable replacement. Does anyone have any knowledge? Is there an alternative or does anyone have any sitting around from a long lost Firestorm? Cheers. Pete
  2. Could well be up for that. Sounds like fun!
  3. All of the roads round us were closed all weekend, it was brilliant!
  4. Oops. Disintegrated a rear wheel bearing tearing up and down the closed Olympic cycle route jumping speed bumps. Hope new bearings arrive in time for the weekend or I'll have a rather wobily wheel!
  5. Sounds good. Nice and local too I've not been out with anyone either - other than my dog, she loves it! I went to Epsom Downs a couple of weeks ago, having great fun on some gravel when the ESC set on fire. I'll definately be taking the car over there again and the Forest at Oxshott is another good place. Might take the car out tonight, seems rude not to with the weather being as good as it is!
  6. Not long had my Firestorm Flux really enjoying it though . I've got tickets to the Monster Jam but wondered if there is anywhere locally(ish) that people regulaly meet for a quick bash?
  7. Looks like I'm good to go, she's working. Will make sure there is nothing work related happening and get me a ticket bought Hopefully meet some of you fellow Firestorm people there I took my ESC back to Mick Charles in Ewell, they are sending it back to HPI for me, they said that it should be covered by warantee
  8. Just looked at the details. Now that is tempting. I'll check with the wife but I think I'll be up for that. I assume that you are a friendly bunch.
  9. So I should expect it to happen again and carry a fire extinguisher at all times?!
  10. Well that is good news. Any ideas what causes them to fail? I was running a 3S. Nothing was hot, it was on gravel and even the motor was barely warm. Quite strange.
  11. Mine is yes but I guess that is directed at the shower question...
  12. I've just been out with my Firestorm on some gravel for 1 or 2 minutes, max. Suddenly the car stopped responding then, poof and masses of smoke started pouring out. I thought it must be a lipo fire but on ripping the body off found an ESC fire. :-( My truck is totally stock and I've only had it a few weeks. I have a couple of questions, 1, what could have caused it and 2, will it be covered under warranty? The battery is totally fine, balanced and has just finished charging.
  13. I went to Wisley Airfield last week, that was good, fast, tarmac fun, didn't half do some bodywork damage though bouncing down the runway!
  14. I've only had it a few weeks so still on the hunt. Oxshott is pretty good and there is a fair bit of lumpy grass near home but I am looking for suggestions as to where else, locally, is good!
