The air filter is there to filter out dust and whatever else that's on the surface you're running on. No matter how clean the air is, an air filter will always be necessary to avoid damage to the engine internals, it's why HPI won't reply to a warranty claim if the engine shows signs of it been run without an air filter.

Hi there, here for sale is my Mid 2007 Apple Mac Mini running 1.83Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1GB RAM and 80GB HDD. It does run fine and comes with Power adapter, Apple Magic Mouse, Apple wired keyboard, a copy of iLife 11 and a copy of Mac OS X 10.6.3 Snow Leopard. I have formatted it and re-installed the OS then installed all updates so it is now running 10.6.8 (second and 3rd screenshots are before I formatted it, it currently does not have firefox or anything else installed, just default programs at the mo).
