  1. Its set too rich for the break in, you could turnt he LSN 1/8th just to make it easyer for yourself but no more check the noob guide (link in my signature) No more that 2 days max i would say mate, and that depends where its kept ... nitro fuel absorbs moisture from the air so dont be suprised if it goes "bad" Your better off taking both hoses off (carb and exhaust) then blow down the pipe that would go to the exhaust, this should force the remaining fuel through the tank out the carb fuel pipe. I usually do this into my fuel bottle if needed. Sounds like its set correct mate, to test it, turn the Tx and Rx on, check everything works ok then switch the Tx off. the brakes should come on pretty quickly.
  2. Congratz to Mr Terminator for being made up to Mod status ... well deserved too i have to say, very enthusiastic about models of most descriptions and hes an old fart too Well done fella P.S. if ya want you can remove my thread closed threads sucketh
  3. I'm having a similar problem at the mo, never used to happen but now when i pull the throttle it pulses the throttle and twitches the steering servo. It now at the point where its un-usable !! Was gonna do my own thread to see if anyone had any ideas but i saw this thread. Im sure its the vibration from the engine revving thats causing the fail safe to kick in, but why its getting so much interfierence / vibrations when it never used to. Im gonna upgrade to 2.4ghz anyway, so i guess this is a good enough reason to do it.
  4. Lubricates .... !! anyhoo, its wonder stuff, if i could drink it ... nahhhhh lol Seriously though, water is bad for your engine and electrics, anything thats metal too. Dont be silly driving it through massive puddles, but at the same time have fun ! just make sure ya clean / WD-40 it all when ya get home.
  5. I have to agree wth HyperHuggy here, I wouldnt buy one of those buggys but from what your saying. If i was the model shop i would have taken the same stance. The manufacturer should have something to say though, even if they offer some advice, just blanking emails is no way to do business!!
  6. Lol i can imagine the hell you got for that ! Thats at least a weeks worth of continuous moaning in my house !
  7. Im in the same boat mate, only ever get to use mine at weekends, and having a 4 yr old boy plus having to do "family" stuff and if not its pissing it down at the weekends means i can go months and not get to "play with my toy cars" (thats a Mrs rant)
  8. It migt be an oversight lol, there moving servers so mebe theyve overlooked the setting .... Shhhhhhhhhhhh Hope im wrong though
  9. there all the same, they do the same job, just find the cheapest one and one that looks nice I dare say there might be a fraction of a MS between the best and worst ones but really ..... there all the same.
  10. Idle .. dont worry about how high it idles unless the truck starts to move off at idle (clutch engaging) if it sounds high leave it aslong as its stationary. tuning .... Revo requires 1/16th turns so once th break in is done (and traxaas use their own method of break in) turn the HSN in 1/16th turns untill you see no performance increase at full throttle or no smoke anymore, then turn back 1/16th once thats done tune the LSN the same way, this one wont need much tuning at all really but the way to test is to idle for 10 secs then pull full throttle, if it accelerates fine off the mark then its ok but if it hesitates a little its too rich, lean it a little then try again. lean - clockwise richen - anti-clockwise
  11. Zig im well aware you shouldnt touch the MRN i was asking if you did though .
  12. If ya think about it, fuel has to enter the exhaust for it to backfire, so if it happens at mid then the LSN might be too rich ? have you played with the MRN ? it could be that.
  13. Ohh god ! theres at least 4 post that made me laugh like a mad man in this thread ! Why do people text speak ? wy do ppl txt spk ? Ziggy122 ... your funny, without even trying to be. Great comedy lads keep it up.
  14. A combination of 3 things i'd say. Fuel... Glo plug sounds bad to me but this may also be caused by too rich settings or the fact that the engine doesnt agree with tornado fuel.
  15. Lmao nice one Tony i got another .... Dog poo on the field !
  16. Take the EZ start system off and the optidrive unit too there easily broken and tvh ya dont really need them. there very strong though. great trucks as far as im concerned
  17. yeah the engine is supprisingly small but the rpm is high and the truck weighs loads less than the savage for example. Great trucks and i had a savage, my mate had a revo at the time, his was faster (with a 2 speed revo vs a 3 speed savage)
  18. its possible the reverse gear is causing more drag on the engine so its not building up enough speed to change like it used to. Is it tuned correctly yet ? it doesnt shift properly untill its tuned to reach a certain RPM. If it is tuned then i would also suggest adjusting the 3 speed gear change too. theres a good vid on youtube for it.
  19. watch out mate, if the wires come off, the failsafe will not cut in as theres no power, so you could still end up with a run away !
  20. the LSN will be too rich, turn it 1/8th (clockwise) and the idle will possibly be too low aswell (turn that a little clockwise) Dont turn the LSN much more than that as when you tune you start with the HSN first then move onto the LSN
  21. I used to do it everytime i had it out but i cant be bothered these days. i only do it now when i feel the need but when i do i: put it in the bath and get the shower head on the wheels & arms them get the old paint brush out and some kitchen roll and a bowl of water. Spray WD-40 over nearly everything when i'm done and wipe off the excess.
  22. tis true but most sellers put the value of the item at £35 so they dont get done for customs. that said though ive still be had for it even though the seller marked the item as a gift. P.S. if the seller marks it as a gift and it gets damaged in transit, your coverd for the max £35. I'd rather buy something like this here, for the sake of 20 squid
  23. OOOOo thats a good price ! might have to buy one of those for my son
  24. Yeah it could be down to being cold, heat it up with a hair dryer first. but it could also be down to the tune. when did you loose it last ? where was the fuel stored? im not sure how it would look being off, probs cloudy and a horrible brown colour. Base settings ... your gonna need to tell us what engine it is mate.
