  1. Looking for an old Tamiya Mondeo, Cavalier, Cosworth or any other BTCC body. 190mm must be in very good condition as its for a shelf queen Paypal ready thanks
  2. looks like they designed the bottom half of the bodys and stuck a generic lump on top as called it a cab, whats with those windows?
  3. nice review! Its a breath of fresh air to see someone give their thoughts when they actually own the model, most just jump on the 'vaterra hate bandwagon' without even seeing one in the flesh. I've always fancied a twin hammers and i think if i have some spare cash i might invest one day.
  4. Found these Axial hubs in my little box of spares and thought i'd chuck them on, had to reduce the diameter a bit to fit inside the wheel bolts but they look good, adds a bit of scaleism
  5. I really hope the bronco looks better than that, but its not giving me any confidence
  6. It is yeah, I dunked the Rx and winch controller in for about an hour and let them drip off any excess overnight, ready to fit today
  7. Got this through the door today, busy waterproofing everything now
  8. Looks like Jconcepts are bringing out new bodies for the Ascender! A '74 Bronco and Ford Atlas Trail. I will definitely be getting a Bronco, i'm a Ford person through and through, can't wait http://www.horizonhobby.com/74-ford-bronco-trail--scaler-clear-body%3A-ascender-p-jco0288
  9. quite fancy a tamiya truck next, even though i will never use it

Then again that's how hoarding starts lol. Buying stuff to box up until you've brought more stuff lol. Mayb just one slow build will be ok.

i think i'll keep an eye out for one that needs a bit work, i prefer rebuilding them rather than running them

      I fancy a tamiya mini

  10. Found my first 'broken' part, got a bit of a bent link. Not surprised at all with the size of the hills its rolled down, it actually looks like its landed on the link itself I'll straighten it out and make a spare one to keep in the toolbag just incase it completely goes when crawling. Done a bit of wire tidying too. CorrosionX has been ordered too so it'll be waterproof soon hopefully

  12. Liquid RC Definitely worth the trip, lovely place
  13. thanks Its Stanhope in County Durham, its an ideal place to run, has a nice variety of just about everything! I might try new foams in these soon, the standard ones are just a tad soft, the front tyres tend to fold a bit when cornering, i'll have a look at the CI ones
  14. Thanks bud Drove an hour today to a nice spot only to be let down by the lovely British weather, was still good i just got a bit damp. These Pitbull tyres are amazing, literally point it at something and it WILL climb it, it managed to go everywhere, and more, than a 2.2 crawler did!
  15. i believe its a Pureten Alpha, i used to have one with a Subaru WRC shell
  16. success! Stuck the tyres in the freezer to harden up a bit and went to make some sausage butties, went back half an hour later and they were nicely chilled, popped into the beads like they grew there Taking it up Stanhope tomorrow so they'll get a bloody good testing
  17. managed to get a grand total of one mounted, what a nightmare!
  18. Alan Partidge will keep me company for the next 24 hours while i try to assemble beadlocks

  19. right, need diff shims for my MERV, the Associated ones everyone use are only sold by Wheelspin who i point blank refuse to order from. I've worked out i need 8x10x0.1mm shims but i can't find any of those either, anyone got an idea where i could get some?

Ide just use wheelspin lol. I've only had good dealings with them. Of course the backorder thing is a pain but most stores are like that. 6 months ms held my money once then I had to call them for a refund.

  20. do i want rubber or metal shielded bearings for my merv? It'll not be used in any wet or muddy conditions

If you use it on dirt tracks, or dusty locations etc, then I'd go for rubber shielded. Tarmac only, go for \m/

cheers! I'll go for rubber to be on the safe side

  21. Thanks bud! I wish i had more time and patience to make stuff, my biggest concern with making sliders is making both sides a perfect mirror image otherwise it'll annoy me, i'll probably have to make a jig or something!
  22. merv shocks sorted with a nice mix of 5k diff oil and shock oil

  23. got a 2s pack thats nearly half a volt out of balance and a balance charge makes no difference, bugger
