I try to keep as few ads as possible if you think they are annoying then good luck with the rest of the internet there's literally just 1 at the top of the page, then sometimes another 3 posts down. Done!
But yes become a Gold Member. 😛

I may also be interested in taking you up on that offer sometime @wombat - I could perhaps get a few of the Modelsport crew over.

Howdy! 😄

Welcome to the forum! 😄
I'm sure the NiCd will be okay, just feel like a wet fart.

Glad to hear it! 🙂 Welcome to the community. 😄

@Kpowell911 did you get one in the end? I'm still unconvinced and looking at traditional deep fryers (although they have a lot of fancy features now!). I'm more for the taste than the health part.

There's a really impressive crawler course at Bridlington which is part of the Model Boat Club there, if you have Facebook checkout the group "Carnaby Crawlers", friendly bunch and meet up regularly.

Hi John! I'm from York but don't have a crawler, some great places though, a bit further north you have Yearsley Woods which is fantastic for this kind of thing, loads of space to get lost in.

Welcome. 😄

HobbyComps is legit and well ran as it's a friend of mine (also called Nick!). He's posting stuff out all the time to winners.
@spudski - maybe he can do a MSUK prize for us? 😄

I was sceptical when I heard you could get a Traxxas model under £200.
Out the box, there are better models out there for less money, however I bet these will get the Traxxas community behind them and have loads of really great hopup parts to make a basic model something awesome.

They look ace. Got me more excited than when X-Maxx first released.

I don't bang the drum much to this exclusive club, but we are having a £100 Modelsport voucher prize draw for our Gold Members!
You can become a Gold Member here and it helps the forum keep going, we've also not raised the price for years, unlike your milk and eggs and we won't go on strike either like your local postie.
The draw is on the 17th December and you can enter here if you are a Gold Member:

The one in Modelsport is a display model, they do not have stock yet. You can go in and see it.
I'm a big fan, I think the truggy layout/setup and wide stance just works so well with these big scales.

It's awesome, I'm excited about this one. Great stance and build.

Welcome back. 😄 What's the RC scene like in Aus???
If you're back in UK for Christmas bring it with you and lets go bashing.

How's everyone doing with the cost of living?
Starting to see the pinch now, driving to work with diesel prices at £1.90+/l around me, food seems more money across the board, simple things like frozen pizzas seem daft money to what they were a couple of years ago.
Fortunate to have disposable income to absorb most of it but already having to cut back on holiday plans next year. Our trip to Canada a couple of months ago was ludicrous in comparison to when I've been before. Not really looking forward to what next year brings, especially if energy bills spike as much as they say.

I'd take this over an X-Maxx or Kraton. Looks good.
2 hours ago, mydoddy69 said:Be honest I gave up on the YouTube crowd they’re pretty much all the same full of 💩 they’re only out to make money. Not only that what one guy breaks means nothing especially when you’re just out to break it for clicks anyway seems a bit pointless. Used to like Mr Talbot but fame got to his head a bit to much
I had this exact same thought this week, most RC youtubers are a bore, no one seems passionate anymore and start them up like any other business now. Far too many reviewing Banggood/Chinese garbage, then rest are just click bait.

UK are expensive across the board, Traxxas don't help though, they are very hands on when it comes to the supply to international retailers and set demands how suppliers should handle their brand abroad (e.g. forcing retailers to complete warranty cards, only supply stores that have physical stores). They almost act like a franchise.
I would say in this case though, these models are not popular in the UK, they were a flop and are probably flogging the unmovable stock they have in the USA - 'cause looking around nobody wants them here and nobody stocks 'em!

I know! I've been so busy since I got back I've not even got it out the case yet. 😞
I'll try to look through it asap!

Yeah I figured the All Day pack will cover more options than the Bright Day one, I'm just gonna slap the ND8 on and run with it. It's going to be sunny where I am going but I don't want to lose shots picking the wrong lens.
-
That's the one I ordered, from here:
https://caelusdrones.co.uk/product/freewell-mini-3-all-day-6-pack/
Who are the sellers on Amazon, ordered direct hoping I'd get it a bit quicker!
Yeah I don't plan to use obstacle avoidance much, I enjoy flying it manually more for the shots I want.
-
As requested, here's my first video testing it on weekend.
I've got 3 days before I go to Canada so hopefully got enough practice in.
I forgot to set it to record at 60fps from 30fps so changed that now (the first clip might not be so smooth as it's 30fps slowed down to 75%). Also changed the object detection mode to avoid instead of brake, I tested it out flying at a few trees which was fun but scary haha.
Done no colour editing on Davinci but I'll save that for when I get back.
I've ordered some Freewell All Day lenses also... @m4inbrain I don't have much time to try lens out, is there one you'd just say use all the time? Probably just need a touch of motion blur. I'd be using auto as again don't have so much time to be buggering stuff up.

I'm struggling to find something good at the moment if anyone can shoot out some good series to watch?
A few of min:
I hear really good things about The Last of Us but it's not here in the UK??
