  1. Mine arrived today from Modelsport UK as I haven't seen them in the Dutch shops yet. I ran about 3 charges through them and it performing well. My only minor issue with it is that the steering is very noisy. Apart from that, it goes like crazy on short carpet, gets decent speed on laminated floor, slides all over the place on tile floor, and probably will survive the cobble streets as well. The steering response is very quick. I had to adjust the steering trim on the car itself a little so it tracks straight. I first trimmed it on the transmitter but that resulted in the noise from the steering being constant. My runtime is about 10-12 minutes, charging is about an hour.
  2. Everything is a job for ducttape. Or WD40.
  3. Not just the UK. I got mine on the summer discount sale making the car roughly half its regular price. For that money I find it good value. For full price however, I wouldn't have bought it. And I think a lot of people are having similar thoughts about it.
  4. It happened to me as well. I switched to Hobbywing and will use the HPI ESC and 2200kv motor in a different car instead.
  5. About 30 packs in and no bearing issues at all. Besides the servo and motor/ESC combo swap it is still pretty much as new.
  6. Spektrum DX4S. Feels really nice and is very programmable.
  7. My Vorza with Jconcepts Illusion body.
  8. Had that with the first run of my Apache SC1 as well. Luckily I found the nut in the grass which was a huge stroke of luck as the nut is completely black.
  9. Sounds great, I'd love to see the result of that conversion Admiral.
  10. This looks like the motor will sit up really high in the chassis, I'm not a huge fan of that. Mind you I'm not a fan of where it sits now either.
  11. My Apache SC runs great out of the box, but I did need to resolder the battery cable as it got cut by the rear center drive shaft.
  12. btw, I don't think you can fit a 17T pinion on this setup unless you widen the slide slots in the motor mount plate or reduce the spur size.
  13. The 1518 is much larger than the 2200 and will not fit the standard brackets. The gear is indeed mod1.
  14. They've worked fine for me in the past though a bit fiddly to secure properly.
