  1. Because it's a larger motor and can pull a lot more amps. It will highly likely pull more current on average as well therefore a shorter runtime. Especially on a 20t pinion.

Bought this diff oil to try in my slash but it’s too thick and the car doesn’t handle right anymore. I have used a very small amount to fill the diff once so there is lots of oil left. £6 posted.
  3. I would recommend posting this on the Arrma forum as well. Some very helpful people there who specialise in Arrma. That 4092 should work fine although perhaps slightly too high kv for running high gearing? Also the run time per battery with a motor like that isn't going to be good!

    I sent you a PM.
  5. Someone on the Tekno forums mentioned about changing the pins instead of the whole driveshaft. That's definitely something I'm going to look into. I like the fact that the Tekno cars seem better built and have less slop in everything.
  6. For sale is my Arrma Talion V3 as a rolling chassis. The car will require a power system (motor & ESC), servo, radio system, batteries and wheels/tyres to run. Included is a collection of spares, please study the photos to see what parts are included. This car is in used condition as can be seen from the photos but has been maintained well and runs well. The list of upgrade parts fitted to the car is as follows: - GKA aluminium chassis braces front and rear - RPM A-arms front and rear - RPM front bumper - RPM wing mount - RPM rear skid plate - RPM mudguards - Hot Racing gearbox case (front) - Voltage hobbies servo mount - Carbon fibre steering rackHot racing aluminium centre diff case These upgrades alone amount to around £200. The car also has new bearings fitted recently and new centre driveshafts which were fitted around 10 runs ago. Diff oil setup is currently 10k front 100k centre and 50k rear. Shock oils are 1000cst front and 2000cst rear with stock springs. Ideally the front and rear diff outdrives could do with replacing soon and the body has scrapes on it and two holes in front of the body posts but other than that the car is good to go. The price is £249 and postage will be £15 due to the size and weight; alternatively, collection is welcome.
  7. I have been replacing the whole driveshaft as well as outdrives about every 2 months. I do drive my car a lot though. Every weekend as long as the weather is good enough.
  8. I already have a good power system and new tyres as well as 4 and 6S batteries. All of which are quite high end. Therefore the Tekno seems like it isn't so expensive.
  9. The high running cost of my Talion mostly stems from having to replace driveline parts quite regularly such as driveshafts, outdrives and diff input cups. They get notches cut into them and then bind up. I was under the impression that this would happen as frequently with the Tekno because the parts are higher quality.
  10. I was thinking that due to the higher quality parts it wouldn't need parts as often.
  11. Yes. I agree. I have an Arrma Talion 1/8 truggy which I am looking to sell and replace as it costs a lot of money to run. I think I would be best with another truggy so I will be looking at a Tekno ET48.3.
  12. Thanks for that. I watched the video. Not quite convinced that a monster truck is for me, despite how well made the Pro MT 4x4 is and how well it performs.
  13. So assuming it can corner decently without flipping over all the time. It looks on video that you need to slow down quite a lot before turning. How true is that?
  14. I’m looking at potentially purchasing a pro mt 4x4. I would like to know how it handles in terms of stability and high speed cornering, I understand that it being a monster truck it isn’t going to be able to corner quickly but I was wondering what it’s limits are like compared to something like a Traxxas Rustler/Slash for example. I am looking at this or a Rustler 4x4. Any input would be helpful.

Good condition Traxxas Aton. Comes with spare propellers and a 4000mah 25c 3S floureon lipo battery which has only had about 15 cycles. Also includes the camera mount and long landing legs as well as a few AAA batteries for the remote. Only negative point is that the battery door has broken at the bottom hinge. This is part #7924 and is £11.39. This quadcopter is capable of 50mph top speed and can perform flips and rolls in sport mode as well as being very easy and controllable in film mode which is good for taking aerial video. It has GPS which allows it to autonomously return to its takeoff location by pressing the home button or when out of range from the transmitter. Please note the original charger is not included. Price is £159 postage will be £8.50 first class.
  16. Set of 4 wheels and tyres. These are all used tyres and are in reasonable condition with plenty of tread left. They all spin smoothly with no vibration and are excellent for speed runs as they are belted and low profile. There are some scuffs on the outer wheel rims and tyres as is expected due to the nature of the hobby. There are no cuts in the tyres and they are still well glued to the rims. I ran these on my Arrma Talion but have decided to run the car only off road as I have a purpose built on road car now. £32 delivered. PayPal preferred; buyer covers fees please. NB: The tyres look look slightly wet because I gave them a clean before taking pictures.
  17. The car now has 4 HPI E-Firestorm shocks fitted with HPI Blitz upgrade stiffer springs and thicker shock oil. This is to stiffen up the car so it handles better. Decided to go for HPI shocks since the HPI springs I bought didn't fit the Traxxas shocks! The car handles much better now and has less roll in the corners as well as being more responsive to steering and more stable at high speed. I also have the RPM front bumper fitted and have set the turnbuckles for toe and camber. All that's left to do now if paint the body.
  18. Traxxas aluminium shock caps for traxxas ultra shocks. Fits all 2wd traxxas cars and many of the 4WD 1/10 scale models. These are used but in great condition and being aluminium fit perfectly and prevent the shock caps from popping off and losing oil. Comes with rubber diaphragms inside. £5.99 free postage.
