Been running it everyday recently so it's took a beating as the place i bash has a huge ramp that i love to do backflips off at the moment it's not running as ive broke 2 front upper arms, 1 a arm, traxxas rod end, front bumper, the rear shock tower and i've completely wrecked the shell but i've got all that ordered apart from shell. I've ordered front and rear t bone bumpers and aluminium shock towers, wish rpm sold a arms for the scrt

imagine the speed if you took off the bumpers, put on a buggy shell and put on some onroad tyres

had this problem two days ago, i had to set the throttle, middle and reverse points on the trigger, look in the manual it tells you how to do it if you've got one but you need to do the opposite for reverse and throttle to example show's, middle will be the same though.

I would go for the ezrun 80a esc, its rated up to 4s and it's suppose to be more reliable then the 120a, it's probably a myth but 80a is enough but i would run it only on 2s/3s. The vxl's fetch quite a bit because people pay for the fact it's made by traxxas so the ezrun will cost next to nothing if you sell the vxl

god i hate the vxl esc if i was you i would replace it with a different brand, it's a load of junk imo

I've never had the firestorm but when i had the rustler vxl it was very quick and durable but like charlesk said, you need to try both out. I went for the rustler as imo it look's better but i'm thinking of buying a firestorm for my next rc wich is probably next year.
