exactly what i plan to do, I have been looking at Dust tactics as well. that's looking sweet Cyber/steam punk WW2 table top war game......nice. I think i may also modify the original idea to make it more fast paced. I'm thinking of basing the corridor sections on basic 50mm wide balsa wood. keep it very simple & cheap should be funky

Yeh mate i was in love with the Inquisitor stuff 54mm rocks especially with the conversion possibilites. Also the lack of rank & file dudes there was no boring painting to do. but i've been looking & things are not looking good for the 54mm figures, it looks like it has been side lined. Yeh i remember a Space hulg game comming out but for some reason their stabs at films/games always seem to come out & look cheap & crappy budget stuff......shame as they have a wealth of story & background that i think would translate well to a Games/Films. Saying that i was playing the Space Marine Demo on Xbox last night & it looks great fun. I loved the Emperors Wrath rampage thing.....extremely good way of getting rid of stress. lol yeh guilty there, although ive been spending more time on the Bass & less on the Xbox so i do have more time on my hands nowadays ....woohoo! evenings are all mine mu ha ha ha ha ha A chance of doing some painting in short burst's is very doable which is what i'm aiming at.

Love the battlefield gothic ships mate. I'm liking the specialist stuff GW have done, less minatures gets you out playing quicker rather than spending weeks hunched over a desk just to play your first game. I did get into Inquisitor though the 54mm minatures were fantastic to paint. Yeh mate the Space hulk one would have to be with minatures as i loved painting the terminators.....the Genestealers were a right old pain as i get very bored painting rank & file lol I'll see if i can dig out some of the old stuff i may have tucked away somewhere & post em up.

Awww nice mate well done on the win I used to paint minatures (Games workshop, 1:35 WW2 & Rackham Stuff) i have been thinking of getting a copy of spacehulk to play with my son & it give me a chance of getting back into painting some minatures. I havent painted in years to be honest but would love to find the time & get back into it
  9. Hi guys i'm confused again. I'm trying to find a 540 brushed motor that will handle a 8.4v power pack. I ordered a LRP GT4 Turbo 19x2 but i'm still waiting on stock (Two weeks now & no news) so am looking for an alternative, i have a Nitrotek bugcrusher for general buzzing around a field with my son, i can go to 12t with the ESC. and my gearing (i think) is 11:1 Can anyone help me ? as i am getting lost in this world of too many choices I'm confused about many things lol but what i would like to know is why LRP GT4 19x2 ok with up to 9.6v where as all the rest of the range only capable of 7.4v max ???
  10. Yeh that would be classic lol
  11. lol it's the only internet time i get, I'm studying for my motorbike test so every night i'm on the pooter boring myself to death with that annoying Hazard perception test......grrrrrrrrr God any smaller & it would be more fiddly than putting a new motor in a Bug crusher.........nearly though
  12. Yeh i think it's very sad that these amazing skills are comming to an end. I would love to learn these skills & knowladge but unfortunately old school skills are not as valued as they once was. In the company i work in we have an old school engineering department, i sometimes ask them a for favours & they will make me something like a bike security anchor. the workmanship is always outstanding & much better than you can buy in any shop. it really is a shame
  13. He has a lot of time on his hands, it would be impressive if you could put it in an RC car....the sound would be nice to hear
  14. My god......i know people who have an amazing eye for detail but the workmanship of this is stunning
  15. I have a real hatred for dodgey tradesmen. I'm origionally a painter & decorator so i spent most of my trades working life correcting poor or shoddy work because it was down to me to make poor work look good & if i didn't i was the one who had the complaints. My job now is to give advice on the use of building products & we are open to the public so from time to time people call me asking about how certain jobs should be done. these people have been conned in the most horrific way & i feel so bad for them. bad tradesmen really are subhuman scum
  16. Cheers guys I was confident before, but now i feel a little nervous of doing this again .....egg on my face once. hate making the same mistakes twice
  17. Hi mate No i got straight on last night i was on from about 7 ish till 9 had a good old blast
  18. Hi guys !! Yes i know the Broad-bronx. it's not that bad compaired to places i've lived in the past lol. Yeh mate i know Leeds/Liverpool canal like the back of my hand, it's my mountain biking stomping ground. there are some beauty places further down from where i am As a matter of fact i'm thinking of getting a bigger back pack & taking the car with me. they are very hidden places with some fantastic jumps. will try them out & report back lol Yeh man there is a skills park type of thing just down the canal from me . really fun although i dont catch air myself (More XC style) i still fly round it like a loony......as a matter of fact it makes me pine for a BMX when i'm on it lol Cheers for the warm welcome & it's crackin news to know your all near by. where do you guys go then ? there is a mixture of open spaces & woodland just on my doorstep. my mate who come on here (Noj) took one of his Brushless cars out on the fields not so long ago because of good visibility & lots of open spaces he got the chance to go fully flat out. i know the park very well as im out in it daily taking out the dogs. Inside the park itself there are some steep rocks & flat dirt tracks which i'm going to try out once i got the car in full working order.
  19. I'm into mountain biking so i know lots of hidden treasures, the skills park is in Buck woods lots of big jumps & some nice tabletops with a high ground so you get a nice overall view of the berms & stuff......i'm sure it would work well with rc cars !!! Yeh should do mate once i get the beast running lol I'm just looking at the TORC boards now mate. short run for me Wesley road.
  20. I'm in Bramley mate (near to Kirkstall Abbey) if you know that area ? As Scott As above i'm in Bramley so not far away from you. i live right next to Bramley Fall woods so i have several football fields & woods to play in lol also know of an excellent Mountain bike skills park that i'm itching to get the car on soon. cant wait
  21. Ahhh yeh i have a couple of mates from Elland & a few from Halifax know that area well fella. Wait till you have to ask a industrial chemist a complicated question when he's been mixing solvent.........thats like peering over the void.
  22. Hi guys i'm pretty new but a big fan of Forza 3 & 4 Also i'll be the first to admit i'm pretty crap but am happy to trail behind you guys anytime soon lol I did a fantastic endurance race online a while back (10x laps of Nordschleife with full damage & fuel) in the R1's a while back which was pretty dam good fun always up for online gaming if anyone wants to add me (xxxFumpsxxx)
  23. Duuuuuuude spooky time I had a mate who was just like this, at mine whenever he could be, he'd turn up Friday after work & leave Sunday night (the only reason he would go home was because i worked) I was just like you mate, polite wasn't too fussed about it at first. I'd tell him i was going to be in a certain pub to meet a mate, he would show up unannounced, i'd tell him i was off to a party on Saturday night & he would turn up to mine on Friday with a change of clothes thinking he was going too. He even started swapping numbers with my other mates so he could be sly & invite himself to stuff like nights out, at first i had a simular attitude to you mate in your OP and just like you i didn't deal with it. i just let it slide. he was a good guy but he was lonely, i felt like being harsh with him was a lot like kicking a puppy. Eventually it got really bad (just like how it is with you mate) and a big confrontation kicked off, partly becuase he had got so used to being allowed free reign over my life he took it too far & it went bad. now i never see the guy, my other mates had to cut him off too as he started to get clingy with them as well. If you want to keep the guys friendship & your family together, you have to find a way to deal with it. I made the same mistake you did & although i sometimes see him in the street i still feel partly responsible for how bad it eventually went.
  24. Just found this online ........i will take a clearer one but this gives you an idea
