  1. Yeah, get outerwears for air filter and pullstart, and you can find the mesh mod and other useful mods here ----> ( http://www.baja-foru...ls-and-DIY-Mods ) make sure you have a 3 channel radio for killswitch to work, upgrading servos i found very helpful, for the 5t i would look at strengthening the body and getting a 5sc rear bumper to give a bit more protection. I would definately get a different pipe if it comes with the stock can as it really livens the engine up if it has a good one. The stock clutch carrier has been known to warp so i would get an alloy one asap and the stock clutchbell bolt is also prone to snapping but there is a mod above that should make it easier fixing them. For a killswitch my switchblade has never let me down and a different set of tyres might come in handy if you plan on running on different surfaces. For oil i would use fully synthetic and keep to the same oil so make sure you have a supply at hand, maintenance should be done quite regularly, especially as i have found out checking the engine mount screws as quite a few of mine loosen regularly, bearings need checked, some parts need checked more than others but commonsense comes in handy. After that its really just your choice how you want to go, chassis braces will come in handy as there is a weak point on the stock chassis, if you run in long grass better tyres will really help, drivetrain should be looked at before you are tempted to drop a modded lump in there and you can enjoy browsing the plethora upgrades
  2. ideally a ktm 250 sx , but will more likely end up being a boring, stupid, unthoughtful p.o.s, oh well.....
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CALL-DUTY-BLACK-OPS-2-PS3-BRAND-NEW-SEALED-HAND-1-DAY-OFFER-/181019392306?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item2a2598b932 surely my eyes deceive me........
  4. Maybe carmst74 a pm and ask him for some advice, he set up NIRC http://www.northernirelandrc.co.uk/ so he should give you an idea of what is involved. But seriously think this through, you could waste a lot of time and money if you mess it up. Here is a similar thread http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/129324-new-rc-shop/page__hl__%2Bsetting+%2Bshop
  5. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/98042-show-us-your-work-shop/page__st__30__hl__workshop#entry690611 That one?
  6. Had a pulse for a few months, but i suppose i dont have anything to compare it with XD , not enough upgrades available, and expensive ones that were available, pretty tough buggy, but under steered quite a bit, very limited drive line adjustments, though i still like the look of it, but then again i havent had anything similar to compare it with. I wouldnt buy it over a trophy truggy/buggy myself, the pulse is a rebranded maverick stealth xb, so design must be getting old. Have you looked at any other brands? hong nor, kyosho, losi etc.....
  7. new baja 5sc for 530, so that's 470 off retail missed out on v2 baja 5b for 150 by a few minutes though.
  8. probably if you get a 1/5 for that price it will be a low quality, most likely a clone. a few fg marders might be had for that money and a basic km clone, but i would just save up a bit more and get a decent quality one to start with.
  9. got a link? what model/make was it?
  10. "Listen to that thing, it sounds so good!" what is he on about.
  11. That looks like a xtm monster mt http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/newproduct.cfm?product_id=1777 this clutch should fit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rc-Clutch-With-Springs-3-Shoe-For-Nitro-Engine-1-8-RC-/250815698798?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a65c7d76e#ht_1908wt_1037 and these shocks http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTM-Oil-Shock-w-Spring-3-0mm-Pk2-MMT-Z-XTM149744-/350354192544?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item5192bcb8a0#ht_1972wt_1037 And this should be in the nitro section
  12. Hmmmm....... I have soo many too choose from, which one
  13. Looks like a copy of the futaba 4pk, looks fly-sky style and could be very interesting at that price considering 4pk's are 3 or 4 hundred pounds.
  14. i need to do this myself, it is a real pain to remove the grass
  15. i would do that yes, and if you are going to maybe take some time to create a list, make a big order at ddm or similar to save on postage. Here, gumtree, baja forum uk and ebay are good places to look, i would prefer buying from forums as generally more people know what they are doing and have some feedback from members and there isnt any bidding up of prices. (If i made a bulk order i would get all my upgrade parts ready, then ramp the stock one fullspeed and then replace all the broken stuff )
  16. i'm sure someone would have done a ss kit building vid on youtube, so you could use that for the assembly. As for knowing what parts to get i would just get a manual as the exploded diagrams have the part numbers and shape on them so you can see what you need. Join baja forum uk as the classifieds have loads of good hopups for sale, and read up on the d.i.y mods so you can do them while your building
