  1. Merry Christmas everybody. Have a good one, hope santa or his elves bring you what you want
  2. After a crash at the xmas race I decided to get a new bodyshell while fixing my car, I have added a metal geared servo as well as new bulkhead and some new turnbuckles to fix the bent ones, anyway after a single colour bodyshell attempt, I got myself some decals made for 1/16th cars and made my shell a bit more pimped here are the results
  3. ok my bad there is this hyper tt http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobao-hypertt-electric-transformer-truck-rolling-chassis/rc-car-products/366587 which is quite good looking for a truck/truggy
  4. erm, hyper tt is nitro, the OP asked for electric I myself run a B4, and find it good, but a 4wd would be better imho. maybe a kyosho lazer zx5 or a schumacher if you can find one that fits your price range.
  5. Im trying to make my girlfriends brothers xmas present have grip lol, its a monster truck, but it came with rubbish plastic wheels, and rear buggy tyres stretch over the plastic ones for some grip. Cheap as possible, I can pay postage fees etc. I live in Scarborough so its in UK pls.
  6. Smashed my front axle mounts when turning the wrong direction and running into a brick wall at full throttle Then took a lesson in how to fix it with the spares I have. Only had my B4 3 weeks and broke 2 things already
  7. took my steering servo apart because it wasnt working and realised I had ovalised one of the gears, then moaned at not having the cash atm to buy a new one Oh well payday saturday, going to get a metal geared one this time also switched a couple of bent turnbuckles to new ones
  8. lol, will stick with the schumacher mini spikes for indoors then I probably will only get dirthawgs for bashing on the carpark/dirt areas near me
  9. would dirt hawgs work on wooden floors? I race indoors too and at the moment everyone uses schumacher mini pins/spikes yellow. Was thinking to try something different lol
  10. any links to the fastrax ones you use? I have plenty of spare wheels, but I need to find the right tyres to fit them, or if they come with wheels already, would they fit a team associated B4?
  11. Hi guys, I was thinking, is there any such thing as a road tyre for a B4? I live right next to a big car park and want to take my buggy out onto it, but I dont want to wreck the usual off road tyres.
  12. So far there hasnt been a problem with them, only ever run it on the dry hard sand not on anything wet or loose.
  13. cool, Thanks guys, first thing I buy when its payday is her Madrat
  14. I race a B4 on saturday evenings with a 540 motor, then on sunday mornings when its early I go to the beach and enjoy a nice quiet time down there. My Girlfriend is wanting to get a buggy to go on the beach with me, not being totally into the hobby I am not wanting to spend too much on it. Any suggestions for a decent buggy that wont need too much doing to it to get it to run against my B4 on the beach?
  15. well, they're making it a fair class and the 2 motors they use, the club spares guy has in stock at every meeting. So in a way I suppose they're keeping it very well even apart from driver skill. They hold 2wd and 4wd Modified classes for more adventurous or skilled drivers
  16. its not a case of how to lock the diff, but how to unlock the pre fitted locked diff.
  17. Thanks. I talked to a club committee member yesterday and it seems the club 540 motor rules are a little more strict than I thought. They are limited to either http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-saturn-20t-motor-540-type-/rc-car-products/14095 or http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-clash-21t-motor/rc-car-products/28316
  18. I am going into the 540 class at my local club. They say a 20t brushed motor is the standard for this class, can do 19t/20t/21t to be legal. Any suggestions as to what is the best motor for performance and lastability please? It has been suggested the HPI saturn 20t is the better one available at the club night from the spares guy. Just wanting to see if there was anything else out there that would be better.
  19. Is it possible with a new set of wheels/tyres and a change of rear diff to turn the DC into a TC?
  20. What size wheels/tyres would I need for a schumacher cougar 2000? Im looking to be running indoors on slippy floor/carpet alot of the time.
  21. yes its competing in a 540 sealed can motor class Thanks for the advice that schumacher still sell the parts, dont suppose you know what body shells fit it do you?
  22. Hi guys, I am looking at getting a schumacher cougar 2000 and wondered if it was possible to get upgrades for it. I definitely need a new motor and esc, probably new suspension parts, and new wheels/tyres. Do you think with these upgrades it could be competitive against todays buggies in the 540 class?
