  1. Hi As the Title says really. I have just bought one for my dad off of that well known auction site. It has been used 5 times and so has run but I am a competed newbie for these drones and want to get the best out of it and set up ready. 1.I have had a bit of a read up and it seems people either use baseflight or clean flight to set up. Is one better that the other ? 2. What are the best size battery's to use with your it. Smaller lighter 3s 1300mah or larger heavier 2200mah? 3. I purchased the flysky ia6b rx and flysky i6 tx does any have a set up guide to putting this in and wiring it up Any oth r advice? Cheers in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Do you still have the charger with xt60? Why's your best price on it? cheers

  6. Haha that was a long time ago. Still going ok but haven't really used it much since late 2012. I was ragging it somewhat with 6s. Trying to get my little boy in to it but think he is still too young. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Soldered it back on and all running ok now. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for quick replies guys. I will resolder and let you know. The screw was from Another motor I had as this motor had one missing but it doesn't screw in all the way. Any idea where I can get those little screws from turok007? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hi I took my erevo out for a ply this afternoon and I must amid I was running it quite hard then suddenly it sounded like the pinion or spur had come off. I stopped it straight away and below it what I found. It appears that one of the esc/motor bullet connector has unsoldered?? I can't think out it could get that hot to unsolder but not do any other damage to the plastic or such. Also what would make one wire suddenly do this and the others are fine? Will I be ok to just chop the wire and remake or do they need to be a certain length? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks for letting me know. Think I'm going to go with a drone option I had been eyeing up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi does this inc everything to be running out of the box? And look new? Thinking of getting it for present Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry to bring up and old thread but as I have said in a few other posts be away a while and it seems like I have forgotten most things but luckily the people on here are all very helpful. Took this out today to have a spin and my pinion gear can loose and it got me thinking about this question again. Now I didn't get much run time only about 10mins but what kind of temperature should I be looking at on my motor with the same combo as before but now a 20t pinion and 58t spur gear? And one side question is does anyone know what size screws are in the end of the motor holding the back plate on I have one missing and want to replace it. As always thanks for any help. 13. No idea yet what I am going to use it in really wanted to make sure it's going to work. I do have a hpi blur esc inside my erevo brushless conversion but as the motor is untested I didnt know if somehow a faulty motor or such could damage a esc. Basically I want to see if it runs ok and go from there. I only have two rc's a lightning 2pro with a exceed ultra Brushless combo and the aforementioned erevo brushless conversion. If it does work I might just sell it and use the money for something to else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Something like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231642226949
  14. As the title says Looking for a pair of purple tagged spring that will fix my erevo. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hi i have a Leopard LBP4274-2000kv that is untested and Im sure I brought from someone on here a few years ago (not touched rc in the past four years due to kids) now I want to give it a test and see if it runs ok.could you point me in the direction of a suitable esc to use with it at all? cheers
  16. Just a little update. I have now ordered two 5000mah 60c 2s to give them a go. But checked the old battery this morning and it went back to normal shape??. I gave it a slow charge to full and gave it another go in the buggy but limited the amp draw to 50% in the esc. The battery run down ok and no puffing. So should I still use it or just be done with it and throw? (I take it the general answer would be not to trust it but I'm throwing it out there) Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Would that be rc specific or an electrical amp clamp?
  18. Also so does anyone every measure actual current draw in their car at all?
  19. Cheers guys thanks for the quick replies. Just to confirm my motor and esc will not draw more than the 200a rated on those battery's unless like nutty professor says something is binding? quess I'll have to throw the couple of 3s ones I have as well then ? Also so does anyone every measure actual current draw in their car at all?
  20. Good evening its been a good few years since I have been on here due to kids but decided to get one of my cars out the other day to show my two year old. The lipo I was using was a 2 cell 40c 5000mah so by reckoning good for 200A? it has been unused since 2012 I will add (nearly at full voltage ?) The motor and esc are fusion exceed ultra fs-xc5075 with exceed 550 7.5t 3100rpm motor. The esc unit says 140a con and 180a peak and good for up to 4cell. This Motor went in to a lightning pro2 brushless conversion and I seem to remember having a similar problem back in then but I can't be sure. Eveything run up ok until the battery run down and i went to check it only to find the battery had puffed out. So so does this mean I have a duff/old battery or will the motor/esc be pulling too many amps?
