Well been a while done a few things to the rig and pops has his also and been out a few times with it (love it) Desided to paint chassis black looks loads better and alot less in your face.. Made a winch mount and added winch and key fob controller.. Water proofed all electronics and marine greased all the gears and bearings.. Changed to deans connectors and have a 2s lipo on order for both mine and pops rig..

I dont understand 1st feed.

Cheers mate stev baz made me some stickers for mine.. . 4x4 4xscale and 4xcrawl also had sunstrip and toyota lettering for rear..

My hilux aka mean green .. Interior has been painted and sourced a figure plan to amputate his legs and sit him as a driver. Also had some stickers made up (decal) these are my own design made by a new friend there in post at present but will post pics when the arrive. (Might have started a new trend) Also pops rig is coming on nicely hes added some more paint work to his shell chassis plate link arms and wheels. Currently in market for a 2s lipo for the green. Then biggaz for the bumper build..

I had similar issue with shafts to get the ground clearance articulation wheelbase I shortened the rear shaft cut equal parts of both ends same with link arms.(still a work in progress). I think you may struggle to get your shafts to sit nice with out dropping ride height shorter springs. Other wise you will have to set your axles at a steep angle to compensate for the shaft angle and this will effect your steering. My gears arnt stripped no just plan to change to a 80t spur 20t pinion with 35t motor this should give me better wheel speed so when walking along trails it keeps up with me but still keeping the torque to get up and over things. Keep up the tinkering..

Tinkering away there nicely mate haha what shell have you chose. ? When making my links I just re tapped original maverick rod ends the traxxas ones are a tad better built and longer than the scouts. And if you havent got access to a tapper set proberly best choice. I still need to get some 6mm tube to tidy the threaded bar but it can wait for a bit. Saving at mo for new gears motor and a lipo or two.

Heres the rig now aka MEAN GREEN .. Still I alot of tinkering to do but its coming to be what I think is a great looking and handling rig.. looking at 35t motor with and change gears to 20t pinion and 80t spur this should give me more wheel speed and plenty of torque. I am getting biggaz to make me some bumpers (roll bar also fingers crossed) in the near future and plan to add a light bar on the cab roof if not mount to roll bar/cage. still got water resisting to do so I can hit the odd puddle stay tuned for more thanks for reading.

Left pops had his brushes on my interior looks ace just got to put it in now.

Id suggest tube mod on your current shocks add different lengths to achive different heights then order some to the size you need.. good luck with it

Nice .. helpful im looking to get something to build into a speed monster and this review helped how do these type of trucks hold out in comparison to truggys and buggys .?? Cheers

Wanted bits for my hilux .. What have you got .. Wanting roll bars/cage Front grill and bumper Mirrors Anythink hilux mojave trailfinder and bruiser think all these are same parts. Thanks in advance

Done a bit more chopping and tinkering.. I lowered chassis rails and body mounting I fabricated this gave me a lower body mount point and increased the ground clearance of the skid plate. I also mounted all electrics up front to give me better weight up front. I then placed rear shocks at an angle this gave me more articulation on the rear and made for more flex so I plan to add a slight angle to the front shocks.. Mk 4 as it stands I also have now my scout 2.2 up for grabs would like to swap them for some 1.9 ideally.
