Cheers for the advise rich helps a lot. Yeh but can't really up the shutter speed as my flashes fastest sync is 1/250 I'm gonna try to get a proper setup with a background and something to bounce my flash off and a drip thinking of a bag full of water and piercing a small hole in it

yeh i first thought it was quiet quick as it was one of my first lenses. until i went usm SO much faster. i will soon be upgrading my little 50 F/1.8 to the F/1.4 USM

glad all the alza bits came looks sweet and yes must have for the xl mounting the esc behind motor much safer then its not above the chassis that how i did mine drill the plate 2.5mm then put a nut under it
