hiya guys im into nitro and leccy cars and my mates been clearing out his garage and he asked me if i wanted boats i said yes as you do cant refuse a freeby any way he brought them up to my house and there massive smaller one is about meter and a half and the other is easily 2 metres long iv decided to look at the smaller one first as it looks abit moderner its made out of fiberglass i think and the other is wood so i have found that they both used to be powered by an engine of some sort but im going to make the little one into leccy as someone has half done it already what i need to know is what size motor and does it need to go through any gearing so far iv just made a kind of set up which i could use as there wast anything to connect it to a motor iv got the outdrive but off of a car and the shaft and thinking about welding another outdrive / diff cup dont know the name to an old pinion gear then straight to the motor would that work ? cheers Andy

erm questionable they dont rev that high at the end of the day there only like a chainsaw engine they dont rev like a proper 2 stroke engine lol my scooter probably revs higher (only cos its tuned and does 60 ) lol up to you really i mean it might put bit more strain on the crank bearings but i dunno cos iv never really messed with one of them engines just going on when my brother had his fg

iv not seen it on a fg but on my pit bike when the chain came off it smashed through the engine casing same sort of thing really that snapped the stator thing off but managed to get some jb weld it lmao shunt be that bad there only for circulating air if its just the fins that have broken

should still run with the little fins missing id still run it anyway

yep i had a bad night on friday racing snapped my b4 chassy managed to do all the rest of the races jus needed some cable ties and on my touring car snapped the center drive shaft

as far as i under stand it needs to have a current MOT to be able to be taken for a VIC test which is were they check the vin numbers the dvla is then notified that it passed and then i can re apply for the documents but its been over 2 months now and its still not recorded as anything

its a 1999 corsa only damage was bumper, wing and headlight and the chassy leg on the very end few hits with the hammer and the chasy leg is fine cant even tell owts happend to it bumper , wing , headlight from scrapper and painted for £150

well i went into the garage and doid abit of filing and got it to just mesh reasonable on a 19t 48dp pinion its abit loose but it will do it goes like stink acceleration is really good aswell 20 t would be spot on i reckon

hiya does anyone know how the tc3 spur goes onto the shaft i assume it screw onto something but how many screws etc cheers

havent a clue what it is its like a ansmann motor but not stickered up

i could create some kind of masterpiece if you guya ever sctually have a meet again fired the manmuff up at the weekend couple of pulls and it fired still running sweet just wating to be used

hmmm it maybe could have been the pinion from a taxxas bandit then the one you get with it for the high speed thing

both the same teeth 26 and they both if like run ontop of the spur feel to mesh fine but there just diferent in size i could probably modfy the motor mount to have more movement but wanted to onow if theres any proper pinions yep iv had a quick look at the tc3 motor mount and its pretty much the same i hope i can find some pinions or get it sorted cos it seems a pretty good car apart from this

write then jus wanted to know how the dvla find out about a car becoming a rite off my sisters car got driven into and it was said to be a insurance loss cat c so insurance companies messed about liek they do then 2 months later came to the conclusion that theyd pay out and give her the car for free so she gave me the car she got loads of letter explaining stuff and that if she didnt want the car to send the docs away to the other persons insurance company so i just wanted to know how do / who notifies the dvla that a car has been written off ? cheers Andy

the motor is adjustable it like rolls to adjust it

yep i think the diffs are ok ill have a look tonight for you £12 posted for both diffs and 2 drive shafts ok cheers ANdy
