my marder, the wheels came in the post this morning are a little bigger than i thought the body shell is looking a bit tatty now after over a years worth of bashing next is a ddm a recon let me know what you think

tbh i think it has nothing to do with the clutch, you say you changed the pinion gear at the back tof the engine? on the shaft the gear sits on there is 2 'flat' sections did you check when you put the gear on when you tightend the 2 little allen screw things that you tightend them onto the sections? just a thought because my pinion gear came lose and i could scream the nuts of the engine and the shaft would spin but the gear didn't. hope this helps

wow didnt think there would e that much of a response cheers every one, thats the reason im hoping to go enginers because of the civial recognised qualifications that can be gained to fall back on in 'civy street' and i can still do my ultimate goal of being a royal marine happylad, dont worry i know what im getting into, my dad was also in the first gulf, my to of my uncle's were in the the army to, and my cuz is part of the mercian infantry regiment that has just got back from afghanistan (propably heard about it on the news) he lost 2 people from the same squad over there. dont get me wrong i know the dangers but will feel proud to be serving my country been brought up that way i supose. every one has different experiances so just seeing what other people have had thrown at them again thanks for the response

going through aplication procces to go in army, im going in the enginers, not sure what trade yet and then 59commando hopefuly, got ma selection mid/end of january and should be in at the start of febuary as an adult entry, any one on here x HM Forces or the likes? whant to know what the carear ppl dont tell ya and any advice? is any one else going in armed forces here? cheers ppl and happy xmas

rok, yer its for the cooling, curcilates air threw the fins on the head andy: funnt you should mention pit bikes i was actualy draging a pit bike/crosser thing (and winning ) till i had to turn around and limp back i know they only circulate the air but its like the flywheel thing to aint it? and these engine's rmp alot higher than a pit bike

sorry, didnt mean to post twice, i was running on gravel and sticky mud so i think a pebble or something has got threw the little slits on the pullstart cover and hey presto, i havent tryed running it now ive taken the fins out because i should imagine evan at low rpm there will be alot of vibration and could do some seriose danage to the rest of the engine. for the sake of a few quid for a pull start cover, probably gona cost alot more now lol has any one else seen anythin like this happen before???

just got back from an awsome new place i found to bash but was cut short when i could hear some noises from the car, drove it a little closer and killed the engine strait away. got back to the car, took the pull start unit off and..... ma worst fears confirmed, take a look at the pics: guess ya can see whats coming now..... half hour of bashing and at the work bench again

hello any one got a guide/walkthrough/what and what not to do. ect for changing a piston ring? and tips on removing carbon deposits? any help apreshiated thanks.

hello, iv had my marder for christmas last year and havent touched the engine apart from new plugs and cleaning the airfilter, iv just changed the plug again and i noticed the piston head was black and there was quite abit of carbon on the plug. iv found a guide to cleaning the engine but dont know if its ready for it, what do ya think ?
