  1. Nice work, the BGR stuff looks top notch.Really like how far you've gone with this build.
  2. Selling my Tamiya Porsche 911 Gt2 Taisan, this is the only car Tamiya made with the rare TA-02SW short and wide chassis, this is a well used model and comes less radio gear, but will include silver can motor and basic servos, the front diff housing has been replaced with a silver housing,it needs the battery retaining clip (easily found on eBay) other than that its all there, the wheels are not original but are brand new. The shell has the usual cracks and scuffs etc commensurate with its age,I've tried to be as honest as possible with this car,it will make a great useable race car or restoration project, mint examples command very high prices. I want a very reasonable
  3. Lol had the same thing calibrating a new receiver in my Thunder tiger E MTA-4... Dirty big burnout on the kitchen table and a can of drink knocked flying, scared the poop outta me,and took a long time to get the burnt rubber off the table.
  4. Half tempted to buy the Rtr version for myself for Xmas, but already got two SCX10 and wonder whether its to much of the same thing.
  5. Vanquish products lockouts arrived today....nice kit yeah....worth the money, probably not.

Which begs the question as to why no-one in the UK is producing parts such as these? Not as if crawlerzzzzzzzz aren't popular over here???

I guess it's tooling costs, know from experiences previously trying to have certain watch parts manufactured over here the apathy and lack of enthusiasm to do a paid job is ridiculous .

  6. Excellent build keep up the good work, wish I had the patience/talent for this type of build.
  7. Feeling brave, might have a bid on a 1:1 car on EBay ,hope its as described, never bought a car unseen before.

Bought a bike on eBay, was exactly as described, bid before I viewed, all was well.

Dithering a bit,in its favour the seller has been brutally honest and its a sub grand jeep for a winter hack/toy so not life changing if it goes wrong really.

Ill buy a car off ebay but only private sellers and view it. Theres good cars on ther with papers behind them. But too many hobby sellers too with less than 10 sales but half a dozen cars for sale. Avoid those ones lol.

  8. Absolutely fantastic build,I look forward to seeing this come to completion, well done on building something so cool.
  9. I would go 2wd slash, as a shortcourse body takes impacts on the shell rather than the chassis most of the time.
  10. Finish my Jeep Cherokee SCX10 project, then tweak the other Rubicon, winter project is a Vintage Roughrider rebuild as I,ve got all the parts bar the paint, then I really should solder in the ESC to my slash . A lack of motivation is my biggest problem at present.
  11. After a few months lay off the hobby,I fancy another car,

A set of Imperial hexes is a couple of quid lol, you've got them forever then as well... I think most people have both though.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, have all the tools and also a full set of electrics suitable for a roller if need be.Fancy a Losi as I love the build quality, considered a HPI Flux buggy but not keen on HPI from past experience, don't want petrol been there done that and never enjoyed it.

  12. I like the look of that especially with all the hop ups, will be interested to see where you go with it from here in terms of upgrades.
  13. Does anybody have or have a link to a pir of spot lamps for the Tamiya Roughrider? Can't seem to find any on Fleabay.

Thanks but its an original and I'd like to get some original or rerelease for it to keep it looking standard .

  14. Hello I have this Tamiya Taisan Porsche, which I believe has the TA-02SW short and wide chassis, from the research I've done the gearboxes should be silver however the rear on this is red,the shell I have is shabby so I will probably replace it with something I can measure up that fits if I can find something? Any suggestions?,I also know the wheels are incorrect as I fitted them and the originals weren't on the car. Any info on this model appreciated.
  15. Ferreting around today and I unearthed this Tamiya TL-01 4wd chassis, has a rather battered Subaru impreza shell, both servos and original silver can motor and mechanical speed controller, none of the electrics have been tested so assume they don't work and you won't be disappointed, tyres are a bit perished and the chassis has a the usual scuffs underneath commensurate with age. All in all an honest little car that would make a great little easy project,or the basis of a race car or drift car. Looking for a not unreasonable
  16. Charged my batteries for the first time in a couple of months.
  17. LockedupRc in the states, cheap enough to buy but the shipping is a killer, the guy who runs it is great at communication though.
  18. Looks very good, nice shocks too,are they any good?bought a set a while ago and gonna pop them on today.
  19. Very nice, this car still gets me trunky.
  20. Great build, looking forward to seeing some more of the weathering process as it happens.
  21. Nice result,will make a good basher.
  22. Nice reminds me of a hot wheels car for some reason.
  23. I wanted the box art paintwork but it was beyond my skills,so I improvised with similar colours.
