Just thought I would share this bit of info, A couple of us went to stockwood last week for a bash, we were approached by a very irate man saying that the residents were really angry and fed up with the noise the cars are making. When i tried to explain to him that we didnt know people felt this way he stated that they were afraid to say anything and that he was speaking for the community. This guy was very angry and I think if we would have pushed it he would have got aggressive. When he left, I looked over at the rear of the houses and there was people stood on there back doors looking over at us. It was a very intimidating experience. Just thought i would share this with everybody and see what you guys suggest and think about this. Neil......

I would just buy a new engine, but this engine is only about 4 months old. I had a issue with it overheating and the piston pin popped out after losing one of the clips, I think this is what caused the damage to the piston and sleeve. Other than that the engine is in perfect condition, this is why i was going to buy the new parts for it as i am led to believe that it is a very good engine.....

Thanks for the reply's guys. The engine and con rod all seem to be fine so i am gonna go for a new piston and sleeve.

Hi guys, a bit of advice needed please !! Out bashing Friday, my car seemed to be running fine when it just stopped. On trying to start it again I found that the pull start was jammed. When I got it home and stripped it down thinking it was the pull start, I found it was fine. Next I took the cooling head off and on examination of the piston and piston sleeve I found that the piston was wedged inside the sleeve and looked rough around the edges. Next I tried to take the sleeve out and it was stuck fast. I got it out eventually but broke it in the process. What would have caused this and is it just a case of replacing the sleeve and piston or is it a new engine !! Mny thanks...........

Hello again, I got my hobao hyper 7 black edition today. Gonna be breaking in the engine on Wednesday. I'm gonna follow the guide on the forum, but was just wondering if there was anything other tips or suggestions as this is a first for me. I was also wondering if I need a fail safe with 2.4 ghz electrics and how many tanks I need to run before the car is ready to rock and roll. I want to do things correctly and take my time. Right then, I have decided to go for the hyper 7, still not sure whether to get the 21 engine or the mac 28 engine, or to just go for the black edition ??. The only worry I have is the servo,s am I right in saying that the new Hyper 7 has a reliable servo in it now or will I still have to change them......

I have just been looking at the HPI Trophy, is this buggy any good ?

What is the difference between the 21 and the 28 engines, Which is easier to tune and run in ? also which would last me longer. Sorry for the silly questions, just new to all this lol.....

Hi there, I am buying a new buggy this weekend and I am undecided on the Ansmann Virus Big Block and the Hobao Hyper 7 TQ Mac 28. I know that the Hobao hyper 7 is more common on this site but the Ansmann seems to give me more for my money and includes the new digital control set which looks amazing. What's everybody's thoughts on these two models. PLEASE HELP LOL !!!!!!
