I did that with the dogs at the local park...I popped two dog bones getting away from them - no idea where they went

I've either fried my motor or esc..the motor has been sent back to HPI, anyone tell me how I can test the esc when I don't have a motor? Any help very much appreciated, it's been two weeks now since I sent it off

Good, I have left it in the hands of my local hobby shop to see what joy they get...it's only 4 months old so they will cover it.

Sorry, when I asked if it can be used on the stock esc I forgot to mention that I have an HPI bullet running a 12t pinion gear which is already brushless

Managed to demagnetise my stock motor today- anyone else had that problem and is it something which can be reversed or will it be a case of buying a new mototr?

Can this be added using the stock esc and is there much difference to the performance of the stock motor? I'm running stock with a 12t pinion and 5300mah 2s lipo.

Mine was 2wd while I waited for new dog bones and yeah it ran like a mental sheep. It spun out and really was not an enjoyable time, I got the new dog bones and packed out the axel and diff cups with nitro tube. I put slightly more in the diff cups than in the axel as the axle was the place it was popping out from when I did a tight reverse turn, took me a while to get the right amount in there but I ended up with about 2mm of movement and now it works great

I flipped mine off a 15 foot drop on Sunday and gave it to much reverse...smashed up both shock towers and smashed up the shell even more...ordered new parts on Sunday and arrived Tuesday...result as I'm back up and running already

Where is the one on lower dock street? I tend to go to western valley models in risca - if they don't have the parts they can get them in quiet quick

I went there a while ago to get a motor and noticed how many airfix and extras he is stocking. Western Valley Models in Risca has a good stock and can get stuff in quiet quickly...only 5 mins drive from me which is great

I currently have the HPI Bullet ST Flux and am looking to get a new Electric car but i can't decide what to get as an upgrade to the Bullet. Any opinions would be gratefully recieved, im looking for something a bit more rugged than the Bullet as this seems to break easily and there are not a great deal of hop ups for this car. Im not oposed to a nitro however due to the lack of reverse gear and the area I have to drive this could be problematic as i dont get to go to the fields or leisure center to drive it as much as i would like. I have just had to get some new bearings as 3 of my wheels were wobbling - all the bearings had fallen apart! Im looking to get a new Lipo 2s 5000mah, there are some bloody expensive ones and some cheap ones from China...are the cheap ones any good or just a false economy? Edit - Can anyone tell me what wheels and tyres (apart from the MT) will fit on the ST please? Im getting bored with the ones that come stock

Goldblades - What sheel is that on your bullet? Mine has been bashed to hell showing off down the local skateboard park last week and its time for a new one.

I know how you feel, 10 minutes after getting mine up and running i crashed it and did some major damage to the front end, once i fixed it i drive it into my ankle and that snapped the front upright - i now seem to have a constant problem with the front right setup. It is a bit disapointing that it seems to break so easily, i drive mine on grass and roads and the performance is great but I still cant fix the turning circle, the wheels do not turn much when the car is stationary - still trying to work out how to sort that one out.

I do and another question - My steering is not very responsive it will turn fine when its off the ground or going fast however when it is going slow it does not seem like the servo is pushing the wheels far enough left/right to get a tight turning circle. I have checked the Servo and it seems to be working ok, the battery is fully charged and i have checked the D/R setting on the transmitter....Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have a 3000mah Lipo and a 6 cell NIMH which i use in my spare car, can I use both in the same car without changing the ESC settings? I have the lipo cut off set at 3.4v - do i need to reset the ESC if im using the NIMH or can I just plug it in and go? I've not tried it as I don't want to damage anything. I have the HPI Bullet ST FLux if that is any use.

Problem solved till I get some new Dogbones - 2 Wheel Drive Baby!!!! Its nice anits proving to be fun nether the less.d damp outside and the car spings like a top - already missing the 4 wheel drive but its proving to be fun nether the less

Not had any of the suspension parts falling off so sorry can't help there. I took mine down the local basketball court/skateboard park the other day and managed to bend a front dogbone right at the end ....no idea how i did it but I guess that sort of thing just happens. I went to my local Hoby shop and their selection is crap to say the least, I wanted some wheel nuts (to hold the 8mm hex screws in the upright) some wheel spacer, a new dog bone and a couple of small things for the front set up round the wheels. My result was that they only had the body pins i wanted and some 10mm hex screws and the other stuff is on order now, not sure how long they will take but this is the yardstick - if they are more than a few days I will buy from Ebay in future. Its nly been a couple of days and im already missing the bashing, this down time does give me the chance to do the Bump stop mod though....any other mods I should do in this time? Im not looking to upgrade theESC at the moment or put in a better motor however if there is any advice on how to make my Bullet a bit tougher I would appreciate it.

Thanks very much goldblades - I have put some O rings in an the diffs do seem to sit better so fingers crossed they will stay in. I have taken your advice and set the cut off to 3.4v - the wife is not impressed with me buying another battery (she does not see the attraction in RC cars) so im going to have to wait till after my holiday in August to buy a bigger battery.

Not long had my Bullet and going from a Tamiya Holiday Buggy to this was a shock...I crashed into a metal post within about 5 minutes and seem to have spent more time tinkering and fixing the uprights and dogbones than driving the bloody thing - but im lovin it!!! I went with electric rather than nitro because I did not want all the tinkering however im really enjoying that part so there may be a nitro in my future. I bought a 3000mah Lipo and its even better - mental speeds but still the battery does not last long enough, I get maby 15 mins so i might have to buy another one. A question i do have is that I have the lipo cut off at 3v per cell - is this correct? Im also charging at 3a however my LHS said i could do it at 1.5 which would be 4.5a....I have been doing some reading and most sites say it should be 1c which would be 3a. Im a bit confused so any advice would be appreciated.
