  2. hiya, here i have for sale my brand new spektrum dx3s transmitter only. It has never been removed from the original packaging and still has the protective plastic around it. comes with manuals and sticker sheet again both brand new. Im looking for
  3. another vote for the lrp range, i have the bigger .28 and its got a shed load of power! the .28 i paid £130 delivered for i think it was but the .21 should be fine. i just fitted truggy wheels to my hyper to make a kinda buggy/truggy hybrid and with a 15t clutchbell, and with anything other then perfectly flat ground it power wheelies at about 25/30 mph! lol
  4. also depends what your doing with it, if you stay on flatish ground run a lighter oil something like 35/40wt if you doing big jumps then you need a thicker oil to help cushion the big jits. i run 50wt all round and its a pretty happy medium.
  5. hiya, a while ago i had my power hd mg servo fail on me whilst at full throttle sending me into a kurb at about 40mph lol. just about put everything together and wanted to double check it was definately dead (had already checked before) but when i plugged it into the reciever i did hear a momentary moving of the gear but after that nothing at all. i know i had turned the horn by hand so could this be it resetting to centre when plugged in? but if it was truely dead would it do this? the servo isnt that old and hasnt had any major crashes and doesnt rake alot of load or knock as its only throttle and breaks so am a bit puzzled as to why it failed. unfortunately i threw away packaging and recipt so cant try take it back anything i can do? thanks for any help!
  6. Good wheels and tyres, I've disintegrated 2 rims in a big crash (amongst other things!) but apart from that they have been good. Off road only tho, I thought I could get away with a bit of road work but they get chewed up real quick!
  7. After a big crash I'm looking for a couple bits that anyone who done an electric conversion might have spare! A servo tray and the engine mount spacer is what I need! Hopefully after a good bargain aswell ;-) there was a full set of metal parts on eBay for
  8. dont just rempve the front drive shaft that will give you no power at all. you will have to lock it aswell! but then you will have barely any breaks so will end up crashing and spending time repairing it lol
  9. put a nice new glowplug in first but does sound like its very very rich, to me it sounds like it will probably need leaning out the low speed by at least 1/4. i would try leaning it out a little at a time untill you can actually get it to pull away!
  10. the .28 version uses everything the sae mate honestly not sure about the hyper 7.5, maybe check the part numbers against each other? or take the standard pin out and havea measure and see if they are the same as listed
  11. hiya, i have a brand new copterx 450 pro tt. this is a exact copy of the t-rex and can swap many parts betwen the two. they go anywhere from
  12. i just use normal super glue but the new one which is has more of a rubber compound so car flex more
  13. ok so the motor im looking at is max 120A (turnigy 2560kv), then if i got for the 150A esc, and change the batteries to 5000mah 4s 45c should give me 225A, would that be better? this has a much higher ampage but with it only being 5000 not 6000 will that effect run times much? also do you think i can make it quick with this setup?
  14. hiya, just wondering if someone can explain the difference and/or advantages or disadvantages of having a 150A or 120A esc? looking at the hobbyking own make ones and the 120A is
  15. ive read on some threads that the cars have been really fast and loads of power on 2s. would it have more effective power if i chose a less powerful esc and motor? i want it to be crazy fast and make my buggy wheely at like 30mph when i pull the trigger if possible lol. what kinda kv motor rating do i want? ive read lower for tourque and higher for speed kind of thing but being really unaware im not sure.. then i also have pinion sizes lol where is a cheap place for hyper conversion kit? found one before in america for cheap but cant remember! cheers guys
  16. The 4s are quite a bit more expensive, what would the power be like with 2s?
  17. thinknig about electric but trying to work out costs... having no clue really im trying to work out what bits i need, would these make a good setup? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10370__Hobby_King_150A_High_performance_Brushless_Car_ESC.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14632__Turnigy_TrackStar_4068_2560KV_1_8th_Brushless_Motor.html http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11938__Turnigy_nano_tech_6000mah_2S_25_50C_Lipo_Pack.html would be going in a hyper 7 if makes a difference. thanks!
  18. if you actually read it its not an auction really.. he put a stupid price so noone buys it and gets more interest (exactly what has happened here!) and just seeing what offer he will get. thats what it says in the listing...
  19. Just been out for a bash, all was goin well but after about 10 mins, I started a high speed run away from me then tried slowing but no breaks, still had steering and tried to aim for a stack of wooden creates. Was either that or a curb. Anyway kinda hit both as didn't have much steering or time at full speed and smashed right into it :-( initial damage is dented exhaust, ripped out a few screws, bent drive shafts, bent spur, damaged clutchbell, and that's just from a quick look :-( got it back to the car to have a look why and turns out the throttle servo has just died? Doesn't work at all and is only a couple months old :-( more stuff to buy! Lol. Spose was lucky in a way and I go up and down quite a long stretch so coulda failed while coming towards me!!
  20. Nah it's ok mate, will have to rummage around for a bit but I'm sure I have one. Don't worry bout postage mate.
  21. looks good, but agree maybe could do with a little leaner. hard to say on grass tho, try on road to get a better tune. no idea what the idle problem is sorry.
  22. firstly set the idle gap in the carb by pushing the carb closed, look down where the air filter ataches and there should be around a 1mm gap. if not then adjust the idle screw in/out untill you get this gap. next check the carb fully closes when the tx is at netural (no throttle or break) turn it all on and dont touch anything. is the carb fully closed onto the idle screw? if its not adjust the tension in spring on the throttle linkage. you need to slide the metal colar closes to the carb up so it is compressing the spring a little more. you may also have to move the collar the other side of the servo horn out slightly to enable the travel of the throttle linkage. this should be it set up. now when starting you can put the trip ont he controller up a few clicks to get more air/fuel in the engine
  23. it would solve all your problems if you just bought a new flywheels and 3 shoe clutch. can pick them up pretty cheap on ebay!
