  4. Screw set for marder......... http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/29321/ Straighten your chassis & ebay it and get your money back!!
  5. Mixing brands of 2 stroke oil is generally ok if they are both the same type ie fully synthetic, semi synthetic or castor. There can apparently be potential problems if you mix the type of oil, say change from fully synthetic to castor oil. Apparently you can get hot spots in your engine where the new oil doesnt lubricate fully due to additives in the previous oil acting as a kind of repellent. How this will effect your engine long term I couldnt comment but it should be ok. There is a guy on another forum who works in the lubrication industry and rock oil are a client so he is well informed and this is the advise he gives!! He reckons there are no bad oils out there but if you are going to change do it when you re-ring so you can clean out the internals properly. The general consensus is to find a brand you are happy with and that is readily available near you and stick with it but I wouldnt worry too much about it.
  6. As said the SQ baja's can be troublesome. The plastics can be weak and the overall build quality reflects the cheap 'buy-new' price. Once fully sorted with HPI or after market parts it should be ok but getting there could be costly. The KM baja would be a better buy if you are going down the baja route. As an alternative........ FG marders are a bit of a used bargain at the moment cos like you, everyone seems to want the HPI style baja's. They are reliable, durable even in std form and parts / hop-ups are readily available off the shelf for reasonable money. Have a look on ebay.........I just bought 1 for

  8. That is some kick up at the front!! You can also see where the chassis is bent in the middle where the fuel tank is (top pic). Pretty much the same damage to the chassis as happened to mine after a runaway into a rock and was easy to straighten out. +1 on the K&N filters. I have 1 & got a foam pre-filter to cover it. Sand and grit gets thru the K&N's and will **** your engine. Nice bug shell BTW
  9. The layshaft tuning brake is a nice upgrade for
  10. Is it a 2 bolt engine? I read of a problem somewhere (ages ago & cant remember where??) that when the engine got to a certain temp, the head warped slightly and caused all sorts of problems. Try leaving it to cool then start it up again without re-filling the tank & see how it goes. If it runs good til it gets hot again then that could be your problem. I assume the fins on the head clear of grass since you recently stripped it?
  11. Try this..... A bit long winded but only thing I could think of!!!!
  12. I will sort it & post back - give me 5mins!!
  13. Sorry to say matey but it looks like you have been scammed by ASSAD HUSSEIN. Check out this post on LSF.......... http://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=12742 That will be why its not RTR, you have no refund and he refuses to accept liability for anything. The guy need putting down.

  16. Hello all. Some of you may recognise me from LSF. I have 2 FG marder's, owned the 1st for just over 3 yrs which is completely standard and the 2nd, a project car, for about 4wks. This will hopefully be up & running in the next few weeks & will be wearing a bug shell. It has a CY engine with DDM 26.9cc ported head & FG tuned pipe so should go well enough
