  1. Great pics, although I'm somewhat glad I didn't go now, I would have been the only 1/8 there by the looks of it
  2. Very nice, but I find the whole concept of a 'shelf queen' ridiculous. Such a waste of time. Also, Stebro is right, your rear wheels are on the wrong way round. I don't know how you can't see that
  3. I've got a set of these on my TT01-D, I bought them a couple of weeks back: They look great and are pretty good VFM, but the black paint has already started to flake off mine after only a couple of quick drift sessions, which is disappointing.
  4. It's the EXACT same stuff, just with a different label.
  5. I run all three of our nitros on Optifuel/HPI 25% and they all run like a dream on it.
  6. Ahh my bad, I thought it was only the 3-speed
  7. That looks familiar It's more of a ST/SC hybrid now but it looks great IMO, and now we've sorted the 'issues' it's a great little basher.
  8. LRP Z30R Spec 2. I have one in my Savage an it's an absolute torque monster, I love it
  9. Anyone? I'm still after one.
  10. You need a charger specifically made for Spektrum, or one with a reversible connector. Keep your fingers crossed you haven't damaged your TX or batteries by trying to charge with the polarity incorrect....
  11. 190mm shells. The TT01 is actually 185mm so if you want the wheels to fill the arches properly make sure you go for wheels with at least a 3mm offset. I used 6mm offset as I like the wide look. This is the kit I used: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310306671994 Great seller, he shipped it very quickly
  12. Funnily enough I've just built a TT01D, see my thread here: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/116028-my-first-drifter-tt-01d-type-e/ There's a seller on ebay selling TT01D Type-E kits on ebay minus the electrics, shell and wheels, for a reasonable price, which was ideal for me as I wanted to chose my own shell, wheels and electrics. It's a nice kit to build, very easy and the quality seems great
  13. Was going to do that but JE have stopped selling them now
  14. As title, I'm after a receiver to use with my Spektrum DX3 tx
  15. Indeed, I thought I had damaged the box at first, but it's all good thank god...
  16. Heed this advice, I managed to chew up my steel spur and hardened clutch bell whilst out bashing today after a particularly awkward landing. I'm going back to plastic now, if I wasn't using a steel spur then I wouldn't be needing to buy a clutch bell too
  17. Thanks mate, not 100% decided what electrics yet, will likely be just a cheap brushed combo though, don't need a huge amount of power for drifty action
  18. Decided to dip my feet into the world of RC drifting, I fancied a kit so ordered a bare TT-01D Type-E chassis kit on ebay. I also bought an HPI AE86 shell and Ansmann 6mm offset drift wheels: A couple of days later and it's finished (apart from the electrics, will be getting them this week): Considering I've never painted a polycarb shell before I'm really happy with the results. There's some paint bleed around the bonnet but it's not too bad, and yes I know some of the stickers are a little wonky. But I love the way it looks, the stance is perfect with the 6mm offset wheels. Can't wait to get the electrics installed now so I can have a play
  19. That'll be Nunney quarry near Bath. I went up there a couple of weeks back with my Boys, absolutely fantastic bashing spot
  20. I use them on my Savage and Lightning Stadium, and I've found them brilliant for the price TBH. Metal gears, nice and torquey, have been reliable so far, what's not to like? Only downside that I've found is they seem to be easily affected by moisture, it doesn't take a lot of water droplets on them to make them behave strangely. A couple of times I've had to open one of them up and blow the moisture away from the inside, then they are back to normal and performing great again. Then again I suppose that goes for any non-waterproof servo. Overall though I think they offer great VFM
  21. I agree, there's nothing wrong with platic spurs. I never had a problem with them before, but then I stripped two in a row so I rage-ordered a steel one. In the end it turned out I was missing a couple of screws from the engine plate, allowing the engine to move thus stripping the spurs....
  22. Until recently yes, but I've been running a steel spur for around 3 tanks and no issues so far.
  23. I run 17/47 on mine, but I'm running an LRP Z30R Spec 2 which is a torque monster. I can pop wheelies all the way up to third, and also have great top end. I'm using a 'bling racing' hardened 17t clutch bell and I've put around three-quarters of a gallon through it so far and it's holding up nicely.
