Cheers mate, felt like a kid at Christmas opening it. For now I'm going to swap the electrics then send it.

I expect I will be the only owner as only seen one other posted on here some years ago but what the hell. I've always liked Unimog's and missed out buying a UMG10 on release so been hankering for one for a while. Finally one came up in the UK so snapped it up.
Despite a keen following apparently (I stand to be corrected) they won't be re-re'd as the blueprints were lost when when Axial sold to Horizon.
Original plastic wheels and tyres have been replaced with military look metal beadlocks and Pro-Line BF Goodrich Krawler T/A KX 1.9 in Predator compound as apparently these are better for lighter rigs than the G8 one.
As it came a with original wheels and centre caps and not wanting to lose them I printed a new set to go with the new wheels.

Seen a few threads recently about different tool brands people use so wondered what other goodies people have. I have a cordless screwdriver which i got to make doing beadlocks less painful as it has push drive function so you don't need to press a button for it to operate which makes it easier to get downward pressure on screws. It also has 3 adjustable torque settings.

I'm currently running the GT5 and it's been solid rx's are cheap and waterproof ones are available on aliexpress. I've recently bought the G7P as fancied an upgrade, it was £80 with 2 rx's and a lipo. I also bought the extra phone holder £20 iirc (one of the reasons i bought this as was looking for something i could attach phone//camera to for crwaling).

Steel Frame Ladder
The frame of GS02F chassis is designed to look like real cars’. It is made of high strength steel and the C-channel side rail with hex wrench bolted cross members make it resistant to twisting and warping. The steel parts are finished with powder coats to prevent rusting.
Inner Fenders
The inner fenders are directly fixed to the frame to reduce flex and bend of the chassis and parts. They also avoid external objects entering into the chassis during the driving.
Extended 347mm wheelbase
Extended wheelbase makes climbing and rough terrain driving more stable and smoother.
Front Weight Balance
Weight balance of the GS02F chassis is leaning forward. This increases traction of the front wheels and provides better crawling performance at high angle hills or rocks. It also minimizes rolling over backwards when climbing.
Multiple Battery Size
Size changing battery tray of the GS02F chassis can hold all sizes of Lipo and Ni-MH batteries.
Overdrive
Overdrive system means the front and the rear wheels rotate for different speeds. The GS02F transmission is designed to rotate the front wheels faster than the rear wheels.
Better Steering Radius
Vehicles with overdrive front wheels turn with shorter steering radius compared with non-overdrive vehicles. The overdrive also makes the control easier when the car is driving on rough surfaces.
2-Speed HI/LO Transmission
The 1st gear is for hardcore rock crawling and the 2nd gear is for hill climb or high-speed driving.
Torque Twist Reduce Transmission
TTR(Torque Twist Reduce) transmission is designed to reduce unnecessary torque so the vehicle will drive with more stability. From the transmission, the front and rear universal shafts rotates clockwise and counterclockwise, and these opposite rotations compensate for rotational forces of action(torque) and reaction(reverse torque).
MT-1905 1.9 Inch M/T Off-Road Tyre
The MT 1905 off-road tires, made of super soft compound material provide much traction to the surfaces. The tread patterns are suitable for off-road driving and the large diameter of the tires enables it to run smoothly on any uneven road surfaces.

I use gt85 on all my rigs helps I like the smell as well! In axles I use carlube marine grease.

Agreed that's a lot of kit for your money, love the fact it comes with working winch. Ftx seem to have pulled it out of the bag with this one.

I use a toolkitrc charger with my allpowers portable power station, the good thing about the toolkit charger is that you can charge lipos from another lipo or you can do it via a car battery.
