  1. Ok, I bash about 3 miles away from where I live. Big open field but only 1 jump. But you never get bothered by anyone asking to have a go on your rc like you do at parks etc
  2. Yeh I'm up for that. Running hpi trophy truggy flux, trophy buggy 3.0, and a bullet st. Where abouts? I live in Rochester
  3. Cool, ill take a look. Thanks
  4. Hi, I'm getting abit bored of bashing my cars now and want to have a go at racing but I have a few questions. I live in Kent are there any races local to me? If not, its not a problem as I drive so don't mind traveling. What is the easiest way to get into racing? What I mean by that is class wise? I want to start in offroad as it don't take as much to set up the cars etc is short course the way to go? Also do you need a licence to race? I'm not too bothered at being competitive yet, just want to learn how to drive on a track, all I've ever done since my 1st rc was bash it so proberly picked up some bad habits. Sorry for all the questions, don't really know where to start finding out info I need Thanks
  5. I used to order loads from wheelspin, in the end I just went with modelsport, much better customer service and delivery times are brilliant. I used to order things from wheelspin and wait upto 2 weeks for it to arrive, and these were parts/cars/heli's that were in stock. Another con they do is show some stock as shadow stock, which actually means they have no stock and need to order it aswell but they don't tell you this. Waited a month before for a single part, will never order from again. Stick to modelsport
  6. Wouldn't a 6s be plenty? I'm working on my 100mph rustler and on a 6s people are reaching speeds of upto 114mph
  7. Having owned both I prefer the sprint, it's a lot more smoother and feels better built. You can sink a load of money into a tt01 (like I did with Ali everything pretty much) but I wouldn't do that again. Much prefer the sprint
  8. This is true, I'm just letting people know I've had a lot of trouble with mine as other people have aswel, mine has giving me a headache at times but when it runs right it's a great little truck. If this will be your 1st rc I wounldnt recommend nitro as your 1st. Nitros can be hard to tune correctly if you don't know how to tune them and if you cant get it running right can be a bit frustrating and buying 2nd hand is abit risky as you have no idea if the previous owner run the engine in correctly and run with the correct settings etc I have bought 2nd nitros in the past tho and grabbed a great bargain so don't let me put you off the idea, just be carefull. Also a 1/8 buggy is almost the same size as the bullet, I can take a photo of mine if you like next to my trophy buggy to show you size differences, I would recommend a buggy for your 1st nitro, perhaps a hyper 7 or similar as these can be had for bargain prices and are very strong for bashing
  9. Oh yeh forgot about the bearings, on my 4th set now lol If I was to buy again I wouldn't recommend this truck, it's had double the time on the work bench than out running that's for sure. But with some wr8 upgrades out now ill keep it and upgrade it. Don't get me wrong, when it runs its a great little truck, handles pretty good aswell.
  10. Not sure about engines but mine has had problems with driveshafts, front hubs and servos. To be honest I found the engine to be pretty decent, and I think if you go too mad with the motor you will be breaking parts more often, diffs, dogbones etc
  11. I'm not sure mate, my setup is spektrum rx, 1256tg savox servo, stock 15t motor and esc, running on a 2s 5000mah lipo. I had the servo twitching a lot so fitted a BEC and it cured it. Worked fine. Try it and see how it goes mate
  12. Proberly mate, speed is better than torque for drifting servos. Saying that, I'm running a savox 20kg servo on mine lol it's just a spare I had to try it out, will swap it out at a later date. Still it goes pretty well but needed a BEC because the servo was taking too much juice and was getting interference between the servo and rx
  13. Yes the sprint 2 has pretty bad steering angle, best way is to file the hubs etc as mentioned above. Mines still stock but have a much better servo than the stock hpi one, that made things a lot better mate
  14. Yeh can't see it being anything else mate. Think there's 10 in all so if they have wear its going to feel a lot by the time it gets to the wheels. Not good
  15. Started my strip down today as it needs abit of work/maintenance... One question I have as I can't remember when I got this new, does the drivetrain have a bit of slop in it? Basically if I spin any wheel it seems to pick up the slop before it moves the spur or drivetrain? Had a look at the front diff and dog bones, all seem fine, had enough tonight so will start again tomorrow on the rear diff to see if there's any faults there. The cups have a little wear in them so this proberly ain't helping things. I've checked the slippers set correctly and it is, and the grub screw on the driveshaft going to the front diff is tight. Thinking about it now it more than likely is the cups giving the drivetrain too much play... Off to modelsport I go for another order then lol
  16. I'm going to make my own. Plenty of vids on YouTube. Need to save for my other projects
  17. Took mine out on a sneaky lunch break at work today. Iv got to upgrade the front hubs, they are getting on my nerves big time, the stock ones are made out of cheese. And the engine needs a rebuild, runs ok but it just aint very quick no more. Seen the rebuild kit for
  18. How much mate? Any pictures?
  19. As above. Any condition considered, can be a roller aswell. Thanks
