  1. I'm in Rochester so not far
  2. I've been Luton reck before a few of us fly our heli's over there. Usually quite busy tho, people not complain about the noise?
  3. I've ordered some parts from MST but there pulleys for a different kit and I've had to modify them quite abit to fit. It's going to be setup at 80% which on my track I'm building that's very tight I think it will work well. Seen setups running upto 174% but think this will be too hard to control. Still need to fit my front one way and brushless setup aswell. Will also modify my hubs when I get some free time to allow more steering lock
  4. I really don't know what to get, one of these or a exo terra... There is an obvious price difference BUT if I get one of these all the electrics will be changed anyway. So a kit exo or one of these hmmm
  5. On my trophy iv got this servo, http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hitec-hs-5646wp-waterproof-servo-high-voltage-/rc-car-products/366662 Seems to do ok, I usually run a savox 1256tg on most of my bashers but I got this for the simple fact that its waterproof. In the summer ill change it out to something abit faster and stronger but seems to do well
  6. Cool where abouts do you bash usually mate? I run my RCs over Morgan's field near where Amadeus used to be
  7. The difference is night and day mate, the stock servos ain't very good, it would be ok if driving on flat surface but as soon as I upgraded the turnings sharper and quicker and made a lot of difference. For
  8. Would just upgrade the rear hubs and servos, all you really need with these buggys
  9. Has the bottom of the shock popped off or is it totally broke? I popped mine back on and glued it, been fine since
  10. I would go with 1:18 minimum if your using it outside mate. I have a hpi mini recon, been bashing it hard all weekend and not broken a thing, running on a 2s 2200mah you get over an hours run time aswell. I'm looking at getting a losi mini 8 aswell, looks like a good kit.
  11. Looks very nice mate. You getting a CS kit for it? I'm waiting till pay day then ordering a brushless setup, front one way diff and already have my CS kit on order for my sprint 2, gone for a 50% kit. Should be fun
  12. I'm looking for a new kit next month, buying a few ATM in time for summer, want one of these in my collection, love the look of this thing!
  13. Cool, what diff gears you using? Do the rc18s fit? Thinking about trying different diffs on mine, there holding up fine but have had problems in the past with them
  14. I run this in mine as I wanted to keep my buggy waterproof. Works perfect http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hitec-hs-5646wp-waterproof-servo-high-voltage-/rc-car-products/366662
  15. I have a 130x and I've got to say, I love it. I started with a msrx, mastered that within a few weeks so upgraded to a mcpx, still love flying the mcpx, have it trimmed out really nice. It was my birthday so the mrs bought me a 130x and the only problem I have is the vibration it has, simple fix with some bigger O rings. I've never crashed it however and from the looks of it I doubt it will handle crashes well, but I'm yet to do this, love flying it and when I break/wear out parts ill just upgrade.
  16. Will be watching this, ashfords about a 40min drive
  17. Hi, I've had a Hpi mini recon since they 1st came out. Bashed it and broke a few things almost instantly so it was just left on my shelf and forgot about. Now I've rebuilt it today and got a new stunt ramp for skateboards, been bashing this thing hard all day, getting up to 5ft high sometimes and the only thing to break is a shock. Diffs have been spot on, wheels surprisingly have been fine aswel. Had some really bad landings and Only one shock broke. modified the shocks now by glueing the caps which hold the O rings in to the body and its perfect now, no more shock oil leaking on my floor. Actually changed my mind about this RC, really like it, maybe they were just rush built from factory or something or there using better quality parts now... Either way its still in one piece. Running it on a 2s 2200mah and I'm getting over an hours run time out of it aswel. Not bad for practicing jumps when the weathers rubbish and can't use my bigger scale trucks yet
  18. Nice. I will be buying one for sure. Does the servo for the shifter look upto the job? Heard a few that have had trouble with this. Not really a problem anyway because every rc I own, the 1st thing to upgrade is the electrics anyway. Thanks for the review, good to know good and bad things about a kit before you decide to spend your hard earned on
  19. I will be buying one of these this month. Every RTR I've ever bought needs work so not bothered knowing ill have to work on this. Looks sweet!
  20. Have 2 sets left, one receiver has lost the sticker on top as I taped it to the radio to keep them together, still works 100% and brand new. Ill sell that one for
  21. Yeh I didn't realise, I thought they shared most things, but after going down to my hobby shop and having a closer look, they are very different. So rather than having most of my bullet parts in a box and having no use for them I'm just going to buy a wr8 instead, and keep my bullet aswell
  22. After looking into this its not worth it. They do share some parts but needs a lot to convert. Think ill just buy a wr8. Parts will come to close to buying a new one anyway, plus it adds a new rc to my collection
