  1. Hi, iv been working on my sprint 2 a lot recently and I want to get a few more shells. Found some I like on YouTube but can't seem to find them anywhere. Anyone know who do drift shells, looking for a s13 200sx and a ae86 in 200mm form. Are there any make shells out there I should be careful of? I know some have poor detail and the lexan can be cloudy on some makes Any help would be great
  2. Looks good dude, I took my CS kit off in the end, did like it but I prefer 50/50 on my track iv made as its just easy, found the CS kit I fitted made it really hard to handle, think it was a 80% kit. Still need work, just got my Dremmel out to modify the front hubs for more lock. Also fitted a blue bird servo. Supposed to be ultra fast so gonna test it out tomorrow. Also got a set of mst tyres on the hard compound with some new lipos on charge... Should be a good day!
  3. Sure is, ran it through puddles all day then when I got home I showered it off. I did stick a pack on though so the fan on esc could dry out a little, don't know if you need to but I like to keep them working correctly. The only reason I think this happened is because I was running it on loose terrain and was punching the throttle fully open causing it to spin out etc if you go easy and run it on better terrain I doubt this would happen but it happened to mine so thought i would let people know just to check before you run it as this could cut your bashing time in half, so for a 20sec check its well worth it IMO.
  4. Iv owned two now, sold my 1st one and regretted it ever since so bought the new flux version. Had loads of fun with it, and its very durable. One thing I would suggest is reglue your rear tyres when you get it out of the box as this is mine on its 1st bash Lost the tyres of the rears and the foams. I will be upgrading the tyres anyway as there not belted so they balloon quite badly but there ok I suppose, quite a soft compound. I will upgrade the steering servo. as there light trucks you don't need loads of torque so not sure what I will go with yet. The shell is also abit weird because they have gone with a matte finish. Looks really nice but its sprayed on the outside of the shell, not a good thing when bashing. I will be getting some rpm arms and bearing carriers when the stock ones break, and heard good things about the upgraded steering linkage you can buy.
  5. It must of had a faulty board, mine is really easy to fly even the mrs can fly it. Took a little time to tweak it but now it can fly with almost no imput once its in the air.
  6. Cool ill see what I can find, I do have a tyre adhesive that I use but its messy stuff and bonds in seconds. Ill have a look for that, thanks for the info. All I can say is I did own one of these before and don't think I every broke a thing on it, this feels nice with the flux setup and is overpowered for rwd but fun as hell, on gravel it's easy to do power slide into corners. Great fun, and I bashed it quite hard yesterday to see if there are any weak points and the only thing I've noticed is the steering servo is rubbish, but it does work ok for a rtr as its quite light, but that's my personal preference and I do this to all my rtr trucks. I will do a few mods, iv heard the upgraded steering linkage is a good mod on these and you can get rpm arms and bearing carriers for these now. Other than that I will modify the stock shell with some vents as when you take off it glides in the air and can also take off if its windy at speed.
  7. I put it in the bath and showered it. If she found out she would go mad haha nice and clean now and reglued the tyres. Ready for some more fun tomorrow, need to remount my gopro as it fell off within minutes
  8. Haha that's very true, used to be a hater but I've come around lol Yeh things have changed at my work so works out I have more cash to put into my hobbies and more time off work (used to work most weekends now do 1 in 4) so can get out and enjoy them
  9. Had a great day out bashing my new hpi blitz flux. Had a blitz before and I miss it so bought the newest model. Damn this thing is crazy on 3s! Only breakages I had was the tyres kept ripping off the rims, didn't check to see if they were glued correctly before running it. Here's it sitting all nice and new And after... I think I have OCD when it comes to my RCs, I've been cleaning it for over 2 hours now lol will be ordering a new shell for it aswell and a new servo as the stock servo is rubbish. Other than that this thing has insane amount of power on 3s and gives you a massive grin when you run it. Highly recommended
  10. I love my mcpx, also have a msrx which I got bored of within a few weeks and now have a 130x but its abit too big for inside. Would recommend a mcpx. Do you still have your msrx? Was you using a dx6i? I can forward on my settings if you like
  11. Get my new blitz flux tomorrow and new lipos ready for the weekend... Sweet

  12. There part of horizon hobbys I think, maybe a sister company?
  13. Have 3 forsale now as I bought another new kit. So 1 with the damaged sticker (still brand new and never used, as stated I put some tape round the rx and tx to keep them together and it pulled the sticker off the rx) that's
  14. I admit this is very true, I have the following so far Hpi bullet st Hpi trophy truggy flux Hpi trophy buggy 3.5 Hpi sprint 2 Traxxas rustler Hpi mini recon Losi mini t I do miss my hpi blitz as it was as hard as nails and very rarely went wrong. Was just easy to go out with, took about an hour to charge the lipos up then away you went. Think I may look at getting another short course, the savage idea I'm not too sure about after having a go on a mates one, the power is awesome and is instant fun but the amount of times I had to keep running about flipping it back on its wheels I think will annoy me in the long run, as the handling wasn't great but its a MT so is to be expected. The new blitz flux looks nice and is waterproof so perfect for a nice British summer haha
  15. Buggys will handle better and and still bash well, but I prefer trucks just for looks really. I've only owned a buggy for a month and I do like it (hpi trophy buggy 3.5) a truggy is proberly your best bet, I have a hpi trophy truggy flux and I'm pretty pleased with it, takes abuse and not broken a thing yet, and it handles quite well (with upgraded servo savox 1256tg) thing with monster trucks they get you fit... Amount of times they flip over on there roof, your be running all over the place to flip them back on there wheels lol but it's all good fun
  16. Was just wondering what people would buy if you could only buy 1 more rc. Asking this because that's sort of where I am at the moment. Have a good collection going now but to get all my RCs upgraded to the spec I want and maintaining them is costing a small fortune. So this year I've bought 2 RCs already but looking to buy 1 more for just all out bashing, and then that will proberly be my lot as I'm running out of room So mine would be either a savage flux hp or e revo....
  17. Got 4 projects on the go at the moment soon to be 5 1) traxxas rustler 100mph project 95% done now just need some mod 1 spurs and a GPS to record speed 2) hpi Bullet st nitro to flux conversion 50% completed 3) hpi sprint drift project 70% there, got 80% CS kit fitted, need a brushless setup which will be ordered Wednesday (payday!) a front one way diff, and front hubs to be modified to create more steering lock... Oh and I want some different shells to have a change in the summer 4) hpi trophy truggy flux - want to stick a mamba monster setup in this and run it on 6s, then upgrade parts that break. And project 5 I'm not sure what I want yet lol I want an all out basher. I would love a savage flux with XL conversion, but will have to see if funds allow... Also have a few heli projects on the go and a major repair to be done to my Cessna 182
  18. Looks good mate. I'm going to do this on my dx6 as I fly indoors a lot and its a pain when you can't see the screen.
  19. I bash at Morgan's field which is near Amadeus used to be. I take a few ramps over there, not a bad spot as you don't get a lot of people over there. Should have a bash meet over there soon
  20. Hi, I'm looking to order a savage hp next week and want to get battery's ready for it so I can use it straight away. I know they can handle 6s but will be running 4s 1st. Been looking at lipos and I'm I right in thinking 2x 2s 5000mAh 40c is the way to go? These are what I'm looking at http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__29004__Turnigy_5000mAh_2S2P_40C_hardcase_pack_ROAR_APPROVED_UK_Warehouse_.html Will these fit ok? Thanks
