  1. didnt mean should I or shouldnt I tighten them. I meant like rover man said. didnt know if it was just the case of tightening or a full gasket jobbie.
  2. is it worth trying to tighten them up first and running it to see if its sorted? shouldnt do it no harm should it. ill add that I havent taken it apart yet to see if its split I just pressumed I was, with all the fuel leaking out the block.
  3. The duct tape trick is worth a try. I will have to get my girlfriend to come video it while i drive. But she doesn't like how loud the car is with the bartolone pipe . Freeprawn is great. I have saved up

  6. Just ordered the gasket and other things.is it common for it to fail on only the 4th tank?
  7. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a thread explaining how to change head gasket (I know only 4 tanks old)on my motor? Also my centre diff is leaking and my rear shock. And pullstart has all snapped and eaten itself . All oils,gaskets and pullstart are in shopping cart ready to buy. But which sealant for the head do I need? Shopping at freeprawn btw.
  8. futaba 4pls came today. set it up and all is well. just been to the field and ran 2 tanks through it and what can I say, its a great car. feels a lot more like your driving it with the pure size of the car!
  9. I've took everything out and redone it all. Battery was fully charged last night. It all worked fine yesterday. Receiver has stopped working altogether even when I removed kill switch again. It won't even move the servos which my other spektrum receiver does. Can't see it being the killer bee as it keeps cutting in because of faulty receiver I think.

  11. Does this same problem happen a lot then? I've had to look like a complete tool 2 days on the trot and come away from the field without even having 2 mins running.
  12. More bad news today. Car starts fine but kill switch keeps cutting in. Think my receiver has packed in. Servos have stopped working on it but they work on my other older spektrum reciever. But the problem with that receiver is my battery doesn't work in the bind switch which doesn't free up the aux to power my killer bee. Got fed up and ordered a futaba 4pls. Better work with the money I have spent. Killer bee can't be faulty as it was working a bit then kept cutting in. So probably the receiver was on its way out and then stopped powering the servos all together.

  14. I dont know I was pulling at an angle making the string warm up n weakening it. dont want to get to the field and do the same. have u got a link to the steel cable stuff? or who makes it n where can I buy it?
  15. my dad said he got some 3mm string. just swapped it over to that. it works put not the strongest thing. it seems like where the string comes out the hole of the pullstart that may be rough and catching. ive ordered some pullstart cord off ebay aswell. is there any hd string?
  16. I'll try that,hope it works. Got the losi all setup ready for its run in bash. Test fired it up to test the killerbee all worked fine. Tried to start it again and due to inexperience I got the choke mixed up which way was on and off and ended up flooding it. Took the plug out gave it some pulls then it fired up after. That's the good bit. Got to the field and went to start it again and....SNAP!!! It's my fault I think for treating it like a nitro and pulling it too much and not listening to the engine noise to see if it's flooded or something. It's just the string that snapped so is it possible just to buy that and swap it over? Was looking forward to the first run
  17. I hate rounded off screws. have you got a link to exstension wire so I dont buy the wrong one?
  18. Parts arrived from freeprawn today. Fitted them all, sort of. The problem I'm having is the killer bee states it needs to be plugged into aux socket but the power is plugged in there, so can I move the power to bind socket to free up the aux? I've been browsing the web and came across how to fit the killer bee into the battery box with a extension wire. Is the extension wire just a servo one or do I need the 5 way splitter that the bloke used on the thread I read? And also I've rounded one of the engine mount screws off . What's the best way to get it out without using a dremel?

  22. I know that vectras or corsas where recalled for a problem on the handbrakes. Must be frustrating waiting for hpi to sort things out with the savages. Last thing you want when you buy a new truck.
