  1. Hi, I had a T-Maxx 2.5 and was very, very happy with it, and it was the truck that got me in to the hobby. Enjoy & have fun
  2. Hi & welcome. I have a XTM Mammoth ST and can honestly say that although it is a very, very fast and big truck, the support in the UK is very, very low. This includes easy to get spares. I bought mine from my LHS who said "I can get you the spares within days". Well after 4 weeks of waiting, I got my spares from eBay in the USA.. That's my personal experience. I love the XTM, but I think for support and easy to get spares you would be better getting a make like HPI or Traxxas etc.
  3. Are these prices posted? What type of balancing connector does the 2s2p 7.4v, 6400mAh have fitted?
  4. I would say that is a good price for S/H from a modelshop. One of my LHS had a S/H Baja, and the guy wanted £650 for it, I did point out I could get if cheaper posted from Modelsport. He dropped the price to £599. I went to Modelsport for a new one.......
  5. I was bought an Attack new last November and I have no regrests not buying a Marder. It comes with some of the 'needed' hopups for a Marder included. Marder spares are roughly 80%+ compatible, so parts (bumper for instance) are totally different. Spares are easy to get from Hobbytek in Germany. I placed an order for spare shocks (I bent one!) and some other bits n bobs and it arrived in less than 5 days. IMO the standard tyres give more grip the the stock Marder and the 23cc engine is plenty powerful enough for 1/5 scale unless you race It handles like the Marder, fine until you hit a big rut or jump or the best one is fast in to a bend then it tumbles. I am sure it's the setup of my Attack and Bro-in-Laws Marder that they do this, but we don't race, it's just some fun for us. The bumper is definately different, the Attacks comes standard with Alloy shocks, so I would use them over FG shocks. I think the A arms are different, but to be honest I have not really compared against a Marder. The alloy hopups for the engine work a treat as mine is a CY 23cc engine. Also the shell is different in the way it fits to the chassis (dont have to remove rear wing) and I prefer the Attack over the Marder.
  6. Definately a 1/8 buggy. HSP I think is more known as HiSpeed here in the UK. In essence, a China clone RC. Did a search on this forum and there are quite a few hits click here I did not find a link to a PDF, it's not listed on RCdocuments.com
  7. Cheers Nick for finding Rick. I must have most of his videos from my youth ps. yes, the other two are BaD
  8. I will have the aerial wire for a £1.00 posted. Let me know your PayPal details. Cheers
  9. Look for a S/H XTM Mammoth ST. New in LHS they are £300 or so, I have seen them go used for as little as £110 as they don't hold money. Nice and big 1/8th scale with a god forum in the USA that is very helpful. LHS can source parts, or buy them from USA.... This was reviewed by a national magazine about 12 months or so and was the fastest out of the box
  10. I am interested in the aerial wire. How much?
  11. OK, I will buy them. Let me know your PayPal. Cheers
  12. Is it these? If yes I will buy for £16 posted. LMK
  13. Been on TV a couple of times. For those who can remember BBC Nationwide and Kenny Everett's Christmas special (audience). The studio was in chaus during the making of the episode, the man was pure genius. A last in the video of Orchestral Manouvers In The Dark (OMD) Architecture & Morality Tour video (audience).
  14. Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated. I have a S/H STS .28 pullstart and I have just picked up a S/H HN 2047 pipe (3 chamber like the JP-3). Hopefully that should be good enough. I don't race as my local track has closed down. I am very happy with the colours, I did think about a split paint job, like you see on the XXX-Main DVD's, then thought to myself, nah that comes with practise The decals are Orion Speed Streaks. They came from a Model Shop on eBay clearing stock at 5 sets of decals for £7 posted.
  15. My third attemp at spraying a shell, and my first go using internal decals. For the eagled eyed out there, this is a ST roller I just got from BMM, so no engine or electrics fitted yet :whistle
  16. BMM do the Ansmann charger in an AC/DC version for £49.99 Click Here. I know it is not the cheapest, it does future proof if you decide to go LiPo or LiIon batteries.
  17. what sort of budget do you have for a charger? I just bought this Ansmann Charger for £33.24 and it does everything. You will need a 12v power supply for it. It does not come with any leads, so you will need to buy or make them.
  18. You can use a standard 1/10 scale ESC in a 1/18 and it will work fine. A lot of the racers do this. Also, they tend to be cheaper than the dedicated 1/18 ESC.
  19. Sorted, bought a HN 2047 (like a JP-3). Mods - please close. Thanks
  20. As per title, I will also need the manifold as well (ie. a complete exhaust system). The exhausgoing on to a Hyper ST. PM me with details of what you have including posting. Thanks
  21. I love my Havoc. It is a very good truck, it made me buy 1/5th scale for the 2wd drive fun
  22. Li-Mn = Lithium Manganese, a type of battery DSM = Digital Spectrum Modulation, 2.4ghz technology transmitter (i.e. Spekky) mA = milli Amps, measurement of current (e.g. 600mA) V = volt, measurement of voltage (e.g. 12V) Ω = Ohm, measurement of Resistance (e.g. 100KΩ) ESC = Electronic Speed Controller Schottky diode = a device sometimes placed on forward only ESC
  23. I bought this Revo 3.3, unless RS4 has another one for sale BTW, you might want to check the date of the last post in the topic before you reply as Turner Boy was the last post on Mar 27 2007, 09:59 PM - that is nearly 4 months ago.....
  24. Cheers, chap. Worked a treat. Now just got to resize all my pictures I want to upload.
