  4. right i am currently running my ansmann virus diffs on silicone grease and now want to change to diff oil can anyone recommend a basic set up for running on grass surface
  5. take air filter off first look down carb set gap tp 1to 2 mm max set lsn and hsn to factory settings then start up and adjust the idle screw to suit
  6. no air filter oil is totally different it is thick and needs to be worked into the filter
  7. i always use loctite as i have lost screws in the past but make sure it is blue as the red is like super glue
  8. ansmann1

    oil

i use a smear of high speed grease
  9. take off the air filter have a look down carb gap should be 1-2 mm maximum if more than this adjust trim on transmitter
  10. if you wanted to be picky there is an offence under section 5 of the public order act causing harrasment alarm or distress within the sight or hearing of a person that could be offended, but i wouldnt worry to much about it if you are asked to move on by police just do it
  11. or just attempt to start again
  12. make sure you loctite screws holding engine
  13. you must start by tuning the hsn first then the lsn.personally i wopuld give it another two tanks before that.build up with short bursts on wide open throttle
  14. you need to screw in the idle screw this is the one which is at the base of the carb not the lsn
  15. you can also pinch fuel tube. i put finger over exhaust this literally stops engine in less than a second thereby not burning finger
  16. if it idles without cutting out and then the idle rises it seems as though the lsn is too lean try richening slightly
  17. i also have a virus 2 had it for 9 months now with only minor problems great buggy and looks good.you may find that the engine will cut out at tdc dont worry this is due to engine being tight , just take out plug heat with hairdryer put a few drops of afterun oil in and restart. i would keep the engine still a little rich gradually lean out both needles. nothing wrong with giving it the full beans for short bursts at this stage.
  18. any replies appreciated
  19. am now looking for a truggy roller so i can build it up myself has anyone any ideas as to what is best thinking of possibly hong nor second hand
  20. check the piston i had a fazer engine and part of the piston cracked off and jammed against the head
  21. i have just fitted new engine in my kyosho fazer. it may help to warm the engine with a hairdryer before starting.if this doesnt help could be lsn set to rich try stock settings.try tipping car on side if fuel pours out of exhaust then lsn is set too rich
  22. i was told that to use 25% fuel would mean shimming the cylinder head i use 16% in my fazer and it is fast. you may also consider 2 speed upgrade and changing the live axle at front for a diff
  23. actually the engine is a force engine and is not built by ansmann
