  1. Yes fuel will flow with pipe off carb.
  2. Thanks guys, will give that a try.
  3. Hi im having trouble priming my sons HPI Trophy Truggy. It hasn't been used for a couple of years but i'm sure we had this problem before and probably why we stopped using it. It won't prime when exhaust blocked and engine turned over. I then tried taking pipe off exhaust and blowing through it but no air would go into tank. I then took pipe off carb and blow into pipe and fuel then come out of carb pipe. Does this mean no problem with tank and pipes but a problem with carb? Any advice appreiciated.

I'm thinking of selling my HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6. Just over one year old and has new engine that was replaced under warrenty. Engine has only been run in so just needs tuning. Thinking of
  6. Hi, i'm sure i have a Force pull start in the garage. I will have a search as soon as i can and get back to you. Dont think i have a owb tho. Richard.
  7. Had this problem with my HPI Trophy. After alot of head scratching finally found out that a small piece of the piston had broken off and was rattling around and damaging glow plugs. Or something may have got into engine damaging plugs. Might be worth taking head and button off to investigate.
  8. Hi, i have been having problems recently running my Trophy Truggy 4.6 so decided to take head and button off just to check piston and liner and found that a small piece of the piston had broken off and had stuck to the button. My question is do you think HPI will sort this under warranty as its only 5 months old and how do i go about sorting it? Many Thanks.
  9. I have used these...not a bad set for the price. They are slightly cheaper from Modelsport!!
  10. Ok got a heatsink and fan and also lowered the timing and punch settings and got temp down to around 70 celcius. Took car out and solder on connector between motor and esc came loose, so re-soldered and went out again, this time 2 of the solders failed. Could they be melting??? Also some "scorch" marks on wires by connectors. Am i better off cutting my losses and getting a new motor?
  11. I got the Ansmann kit from Modelsport HERE. The kit is ok but had to mod a few bits to fit it. Battery tray will take a battery of 147x50mm max. Just managed to get my Turnigy 3s in there. Had to cut corner of tray to fit battery wires through.
  12. Got it from Nick on this forum. Here is a LINK
  13. Running 3s. My son is 9 so dont want it insanely fast.
  14. Decided to convert my sons Virus when engine failed. Partially disassemled Chassis plate with carbon fibre wrap and holes cut for counter sink screws Front and rear back on Center diff, esc mount and motor installed. Its a Hobbyking 2750kv. Esc, battery, servo and rx installed. Hobbywing 150a pro and Turnigy 3s 5000mah 30c. Im very pleased with how its turned out. Had a problem with motor getting hot so geared up and fitted a Turnigy heatsink and fan. Still running a little on the warm side though. Running on 3s and it flies along nicely. Hope to get 2.4ghz tx/rx soon.
