  1. still loading the car, has been raining all morning here on the east coast but the sun has come out now met office said rain am in northampton then no rain till monday evening. have been looking at all the traxxas dealers along my route today for the slash parts but none of em hold stock. why cant modelsport be close enough for me to pop in. taking a 5 min cuppa break then i have to put the roof bag on and fill it, then im off to king lynn to collect things and people.
  2. will look out for you. think it will be bout 1930-2000 i will be arriving, had hoped to get there earlier but one the lads dont finish college till 430 in kings lynn.so that delaying my arrival somewhat.
  3. any one going to this that has a local hobby shop stocking traxxas parts http://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-caster-blocks-left-right-slash-4x4-stampede-4x4/rc-car-products/36353 need that for my slash 4x4 and have no way of getting it by tomorrow when i set off for the bash. my local shop not keep traxxas spares. they less than a fiver and i would happily pay couple quid extra to get one so i can bash the slash.
  4. urgtent help for this weekends bashfest. well its arrived right when i need to go out so no time to put the rx in and test it.

though if i hadnt had some rear hub carrier pins available to rob out of the GF rustler it would not be runnable till i bought some.

nut and bolt holding one side on but loose bolt too short to fit a nut on just rattling round in the other side.

  6. lmao how long would that run my e-revo if it doesnt crush it.
  7. sounds like you got all the luxuries and if it started at 150 then there will be masses of people there. no fridge or toilet and just a small stove this visit, have a great big tent but limited space in the car, by the time all the rc stuff is loaded. Had to leave the girl friend and younger kids and dog at home unfortunately, and only 2 of us in the car the other 2 will have to come on motorbike. Had hoped to be there tea time but i making a pick up at kings lynn at 17.30 so will be couple hrs after that to arrive and start putting tent up. Im hoping for food shop and takeaway not too far away from site. met office forecast atm says rain Friday morning then fine after that, though it stops at Sunday. 5 cars ready to go one still to arrive through the post and one to pick up on Friday. glow starts and handset rechargeable in process of charging. still got some connectors to solder up but will do that tomorrow evening then everything can be packed for transport and i can try get it all in the car. might bring the little quad along if i can fit it in, if there no wind can get some aerial footage, but it needs to be real calm for it.
  8. only a few days to get all the cars ready, half way there on that. Gone and bought another car to bring along slash 4x4, should have it in time to put radio system in and have a quick test. Got loads of soldering of connectors and stuff to do on Thursday morning. I looked back in the ticket sales thing and it has gone down from 84 remaining when i bought mine to 42 today so thats at least 42 people attending plus those that had already bought tickets before idid. Should be great weekend assuming the weather holds out. will see you all there
  9. is it the v1 or v2 and do you have a close up of the repaired damage.
  10. Hi Im looking for the 2 piece engine mount for an old MT2 that allows you to use the ajustable mounting holes instead of the fixed ones, or failing that a 12t clutch bell for it. must be cheap thanks for looking. Carlton
  11. dont suppose you have a clutch bell for an mt2? 13 or 14 tooth
  12. lmao. I also forgot the connectors for the esc when i got mine, have some now though. am nearly ready to clear the build area and make a start, but with what i have on will not be till next week at earliest.
  13. i forgot to check aquarium air line ones at the gf but you would likely find then any fish shop with air line, im just going to take motor in pocket to check size, failing that i would think local hobby shop will have nitro fuel line and some straight connectors for it you can use.
  14. my idea is to get 3 of the straight connectors like the one used for the pickup in the vid i put, one will be the pickup then make 2 holes in the hull one either side towards the top and glue the other two in place there. Since they are the same size as the intake one they should not limit the flow. if i glue in with a waterproof glue like gorrilla glue it should form a water tight rigid seal on the connector. then the pipes just plug on and can be removed/replaced at will without compromising the connectors. would like to use these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__13237__Water_Outlet_w_o_Nut_5pcs_bag_.html but there seems to be a problem finding correct nuts for them, dont know why they not supplied or for the outlet only http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__13236__Water_Outlet_w_Nut_2pcs_bag_.html they would look neat but dont need 2 outputs and dont need 5 inputs lol me being tight with money I will have to stick to plastic ones will either use nitro fuel pipe or aquarium air pipe depends if i can get some of the latter free as i already have the fuel pipe. lol im thinking the connectors for aquarium air line and the air pipe might have a slightly larger inner diameter to improve the flow. will be routing round in the GF aquarium spares cupboard this evening see what I can snaffle. will be interested to know how you all end up doing the cover seal and how effective it is. im thinking something like that profile one up one down so they interlock then squish together, but its finding a small enough amount cost effectively
  15. thats the vid that made me think yeah i can do that he has 3 in total this one is taking apart and you will find his others in the list of similar that comes up im using a smaller motor that doesnt need the coupling drilling out. when i get a good few hrs to do the strip out i will make a start on mine but i will be thinking a lot about component location to try get the balance right. i like the idea of shoving some polystyrene in the front to help with buoyancy if it does take on water. for the cooling pipes i want to permanently fix the fittings through the shell then have outside pipe and inside pipe. Dont like the idea of just pushing the pipe through a hole and sealing it. need to get down local tropical fish shop to get a packet of connectors.
  16. yeah its a couple of little imax b4 4a chargers so they run of 12v thanks. might also need to charge the handset AA bats but thats a 12v charger too.
  17. looking like will be 4 of us revo t-maxx e-revo bandit bullet flux mt2 will have to find a kind sole with a genny to recharge the batteries.
  18. mine is also yellow. you gunna try it as is before you cut it open?
  19. cool i will see if i still have time to make arrangments for this one. can you confirm the dates cos if im reading the calander right the dates you put are thurs/fri/sat/sun not fri/sat/sum/mon
  20. for motor im going with it has a real nice feel to it and seems quality built. Will have to see when i get it running. forgot to get bullet connectors for esc im cheap so got this is chunkier than i was expecting but has good solid feel. these things are rubbish stock, i tried mine and it was slow and pretty much filled with water within 2 mins. I mean full not just a little bit, and as the hull is sealed it was a case of prop it up and let it drip out. For rx will most likely use one of my old 27mhz stick systems and dip the rx in plastidip. or might use one my parkflyer spectrums with the dx6i, though i not sure i want to risk the tx round the pond. Considering a
  21. great that you got them back. not too much damage either. i flew my wl595 in wind the other week and had to ditch it when it was just a spec in the distance. thought it had gone down in woods and spent 3 hrs looking in 2 sessions. Just about to give up heading out of the woods and spotted something in the ploughed field and it was the quad. Funny thing is i had walked passed it 3 times and not spotted it. was so relieved to get it back. when i looked at the vid i had ended up upside down and flown into the ground. no damage for me so just poeed a fresh battery in and away it went.
